Looking for good books about Graphics Engine and Game Engine

Hey guys :)

I haven't used the search function because I'm looking for updated literature. Would you suggest me some books on these subjects? Please, add a short description/review if possible.

Thanks in advance

Game Engine Architecture by Jason Gregory is about the only decent book I've ever found on this subject.

It's a big book and it covers a lot of different areas but it doesn't go into huge amounts of depth on any of them. It's a great primer though, and will give you a strong foundation to build upon. If you're new to games and/or have never worked on any large scale projects then there's a lot of good stuff in here. If you've been around a while then it probably won't teach you anything new. I personally found it to be an interesting refresher on subjects that I hadn't touched for a while.

No shit, most stuff I learnt about graphics has somehow come from pouët/the demoscene. Links to blogs, help from people (kusma really helped me with my basics), and that kind of stuff.

Lord Graga, I am just looking for a quick collection of tips to put the pieces together. I'm pretty sure I will not take the things I will learn on these books as the universal truth. Thanks, man :)
