Purple Motion's Musicdisk

category: general [glöplog]
I don't really know if this is old news... but I haven't seen them posted. For all of you who (like me) were a fan of Purple Motion's music back in the days, he has released a (commercial) Musicdisk, including new tunes and remakes of old tunes, profesionally remastered.

You can find it here.

I still need to order my copy one of these days :)

Yeah, I read about that somewhere several months ago.

Anyone have a copy? Just interested in hearing reviews (although from the pouet crowd, I might as well shoot myself in the left foot).

You may want to read the newspost on nectarine for some small comments.
newsflash, madenmann: bjorn lynne != purple motion.

gloom: we want mp3. if it's good, I'll buy it too. I love pm.
dominei: actually, there are quite a bit of track-samples on his page. it was when i listened to them i decided to shell out the bucks. :)

uuh..it sounded like impulse tracker mods :/ I love PM, but this went just as bad as lizardking's attempt. Or Jester's for that matter. Didn't even have sentimental value :/
if nobody knows a .torrent for it then it sucks.

so.. anyone does? could be fun to see how it is as a cd, its not like i would buy it anyways.

uh, I think someone needs to have a word in PM's ear about this new-fangled 'Europe' thing.

I recieved my copy a few weeks ago and really like it.

It's different, some of his older "remade" tracks are still in the style you would expect from his .S3M work, but the rest is a totally new style from his scene persona.

It works, nice accortment of tracks, well worth the $ (and I'm paying in Canadan dollars, so you know it must be worth it!) :o)

I wish Night Of The Cats made it on like it was originally suppose to though.

too xmish/s3mish.
got the cd today, and gave it a liisten-through. i must say it's a little weird to listen to the remakes, since i know the originals pretty much by heart after all these years. but; they were pretty cool anyway. :) some of the sounds used were a little too far from the originals, and the use of substitute samples here and there (the originals were copyrighted i'm sure) was a little weird, but all in all i like the new versions too.

i for one didn't buy this to get a whole lot of "non-s3mish" songs, that's for sure. i bought it for the nostalgia and that's what i got - high-quality, resampled nostalgia. just what the doctor ordered. :)
