gargaj: man, that's a bit difficult because we sent our photos to slengpung twice and got no answer.. we're soooo isolated, bhuaaah ; / =)

Uh. Sorry 'bout that - if you really have a lot of quality partyphotos, contact me ;)
But my point was that you said "we didn't know anybody by his face" - which you can easily fix by visiting Slengpung and looking around :)

I can't really see how it should be a demoparty-organizers duty to uphold the laws....

kusma: it depends where they are.. if they're way out in the woods, then i can understand the rules being very relaxed.. if they're in a convention center or sports hall in a city, with corporate sponsors, then they're obligated to enforce the laws, otherwise they could face stiff penalties.

hehe.. shit kinda hit the fan here when Bacardi Breezers where introduced. You could go to a club and see 13/14 year old girls getting completely wrecked by breezers.. oh man the amount of 'amatuer webcam pron' in these days was ridiculous :))

phoenix: very few demoparties are. and at least in norway, it's not illegal for an underage to drink, it's simply illegal to supply an underage with alcohol. i just don't think parties should treat people different depending on their age, demanding ID from a party-attender is kind of silly imo.

Whatever. what happened at lamerfest almost happened to me and menace/sb/bzh at TG04 also. And we were also behaving. We kept insisting it was real stupid not letting us in after we had been around Hamar, in the end the security guy gave up and succumbed to reason. I saw him on solskogen, maybe that's why.

No doubt about their policy, however. I can understand the reason for having those rules, but why bother to invite the scene (by having compos) if they can't cut adult sceners some slack (under the table) ? At least, we kept the drinking outside (that day).

And for the minors issue: They're clangaymers. We don't share our juice with them!

When will you stop posting these totally uninteresting images, hm? It can be funny every once in quite a long while, but I feel inclined to inform you that it isn't a joke as such. Now piss off.

Do party where it's forbidden to booze still exist or some abused my senses?
I did a break of scene between 1997 and 2004. Before 1997 I never seen any 50+ persons party where it was allowed to drink or to show off a wine bottle (which can of course not be considered as alcohol).
Whereas in 2004 it seemed heaviliy recommended to get boozed the soonest the better. Even at SOTA, yes, a French party!!

Ugh... everyone deserves a warning before being thrown out.
Not even at Buenzli (which is held in a very expensive location) people is thrown out because of alcohol without a preliminary warning.dixan

Strange example as I got extremely drunk there. Nobody has been thrown out AT ALL afaik.

And you'd have thought the two of us would have, for performing Ace of Spades on stage (:
Haha doh, who should've thrown you out, most of the visitors (even some oldschoolers) passed away -as you may remember- at 02:00 in sunday morning. ;)
I don't think it was that hard for the organizers to have an eye on Metalvotze and the frenchmen. ;)
Buenzli was cool... so will be the Ultimate Meeting. :)

And never forget: "Evoke, Evoke, 'The Party' feeling _with_ beer and coke." :)
doh, bcnparty officially disallows boozing. however as long as it's apparent you're there for the scene and not just for the booze, there's no trouble. scene event similarly allows no alcohol inside (but there's no big problem with drinking a beer while coding)
