From what I gather in irc conversations and this thread, there seems to be a genuine interest in having this subparty .. that's cool :)

For this party to actually happen we require a reliable team, about 8-10 volunteers who would like to organize with us before, during and after the event (we got a few people already, just so you know) You'll enjoy the usual benefits such as free entry, free food and a more or less quiet place to sleep and possibly even travel support but that's not confirmed yet. Once we got the team together we can move on to discuss party features, ticket pricing and advertise the event on the website and the www. Maybe someone would like to create an invitation for us as well, would be awesome!

LULI should be in the scene area then this time :)

GNUMPF-posse will also be there - so we surely can give a helping hand in boozing and maybe some minor technical tasks (like fetching booze)... really looking forward to meet some scene-mates at northcon! ... and remember: real party is outside!

Hey there, the official website hasn't launched yet but we wanted to give you a head start about "Demoverse" - our current working title for the Northcon sub-event.

Here are some rough key details of what to expect:

• 5th - 8th Dec 2013 in "Holstenhallen Neumünster" (Halle 2)
  
• Party hall with space for 150+ demosceners with PA, bigscreen etc.
  
• Competitions, DJ-Sets, Live-Acts, Demoshows and more
  
• About 3000 people (mostly gamers!) in the other 4 halls
  
• Dedicated sleeping areas
  
• On-site food and drink sales
  
• Alcohol IS allowed inside the hall (drink responsibly!)
  

Preliminary ticket-fares for demosceners:


• All-access demoscener tickets for approx. 39 EUR (to be confirmed)
  
• All-access compo lurker tickets for 10 EUR (visitors w/o computer)
  

Note that if you want to take part in gaming-tournaments, you will need one of Innovalan's non-scene tickets

We are currently working out the full schedule, if you are a creative individual or group and would like to perform a gig or do a seminar at Demoverse please get in touch with us and we might be able to fit you in somewhere! Only serious enquiries please.

I found a tournament worth participating on their page: Flunkyball!
It's a kind of beer drinking competition.
Maybe Sceners participating az the "sub-event" should send a team. ;)

There will also be a cos play contest, if someone is interested. Other cool stuff to be announced soon.

I really hope that the party gets support - so far it looks promising!
