hi all

due to time and lacks, i come back to you to present this cool project which need graphicians all around the demo scene. the project is : making with Gilles / code and mind body alpha / ym music , a cool gfx pack. actually we are a few doing our graphics for, as exocet, graindolium/adinpsz, the brink i say hello !, and me and some others; the gfx capabilities of a thomson TO is quite the same as a cpc+, even more with the special mode as a 320x200 pixel resolution, 16 colors from 4096 palette, with a 8x1 special proximity probleme (2 colors by 8x1 pixels) so then 'the brink' done a pure beauty with it :)

no deadline to let this cool project being good and the only rule is making a portrait of you in pixel art, as oniric one, painting one, by a own monster in symbolic and so on

dont hesitate to write me like

regards to all, the scene isn't dead ;)

at http://nitrofurano.altervista.org/lua/ i have some GrafX2 scripts that might be useful - specially cellcolourreducer.lua, that can be useful for reducing to 2 the colours from that 8x1 pixel cells
results can be just like this: http://imageshack.us/a/img801/9293/tx0i.gif
hello nitro furano :) thanx a lot for your reply i'm going to tranmite it to people interested by the project before hey why not matte painting or hand draw to be transformed after.

thanx a lot and if you are instersted by making a gfx don't hesitate

regards

There's an improved version of the constraint checker: http://exocet.untergrund.net/zip/ThomsonConstraints.lua

Instead of destroying your picture, it will highlight the problems on a separate layer. You can add some colorcycling for extra visibility.

Here is a french tutorial on how to use it: http://16couleurs.wordpress.com/2013/03/31/archeologie-infographique-le-pixel-art-pour-thomson/.

The other (non-constrained) video modes are:
160x200, 16 colors
320x200, 4 colors
640x200, 2 colors

Also, beware of the non-linear palette used by the Thomson. I heard TGA2Teo can help http://logmylife.fr/gilles-vitalmotion/2013/10/05/conversion-dimage-avec-tga2teo2/
hello pulko mandy !! i hope one day to meet you ! perhaps you could come to the VIP 2014 in thoissey ? would be cool to meet you :) anyway i have to test both systems to produce more teo graphics. as this computer was my little years love, i go to have an hxc with soon and going to produce more gfx ! the fact is that it is a wonderfull computer and i must greet you for the demos you done on it

regards
