Hierarchies

category: residue [glöplog]
Isn't it a problem for you that you have to live in hierarchies? I.e.: that you are dependent on others who may decide on your fate and whose will you, for this reason, have to follow. IMHO the notion of freedom is an empty phrase; nobody is really free. Perhaps this could be changed by the introduction of unconditional basic income. Currently I see no other way. For me at least it is a great problem that you have to adapt to other people's (i.e. your boss') desires.

This week on pouet - entitled, lives-with-his-parents-in his-30s manchild discovers the realities of holding down a real job! You read it first, right here.

Interesting that the first thing Adok wants when he's placed in a situation where someone tells him what to do whether he likes it or not (ie. his boss in his workplace); is for the govt. and taxpayer to foot the bill so that he doesn't have to do what someone else tells him to do!

You can always be your own boss and have the freedom of an entrepreneur. Go ahead, try it out.

Nah, then he's too afraid of failure, or just too lazy to pull that off.

not pursuing desires but making rational and social decisions makes us different from animals! hence that whole ubi thing is a wicked hippie brainfart too.
exception made for killer whales. i think they're superior to the human race but have the disadvantage to be a fish.
I always thought they were cetacean. Cause everyone know that those whales are just a bunch of tie-dye wearing, dreadlock growing social welfare sponges!

they are, but.. please don't tell them. once they find out they aren't fish, mankind is doomed!
Sharks ain't gonna like that. Not one bit!

I don't have a problem with it. I wouldn't last very long on my own.

Adok: Do you have to start the same discussion twice? Are you seeking someone that agree with you? I don't think this is the place tbh...

This isn't Mensaboy starting a new UBI thread, this is him bitching about his boss (which let's be honest - even when you're self-employed all of us do). It's just that that this is his 1st job, I'm pretty sure his social skills haven't won over his colleagues yet and lets be honest - aside from his new boss the only other people who have told him what to do have been his parents.
Man needs a few beers after work and a blowjob from the intern in the supply cupboard.
