Its the sheep gut they use to strain the yeast out that makes beer non-vegan. Same with wine. I bet u are glad u asked now :) of course it could be horse......

mantratronic: In Germany thanks to the "Reinheitsgebot" beer is always vegan. Wine on the other hand is a different matter but even there it's easy to find wines that haven't been filtered with gelatine :)

If someone needs transportation and is within reasonable deviation of the route from NUE to Saarbrucken, I can pick you up on the way. Participation in fuel costs would be appreciated, but not mandatory as I'm going to be driving there anyway.
