Glad to see the news of the new location. It is a 7 1/2 hour drive for us over from my place here in UK but you can be assured that myself, CiH and Gasman will still be making the trip. It will be a longer trip for us but what the hell - we love it ;)

Wouldn't be the same without you guys <3

Cheers Knoeki!

Looking forward to some serious Grolsch-based Dutch campsite styled action, with barbeques and curry and stuff :-)

CiH: We're looking forward to that too, but there will be some changes to the food supply arrangements. Last year's BBQ-by-the-organisers will not be repeated, instead we'll likely make an arrangement with a professional catering company. That'll raise the price for a food ticket quite significantly (while entry tickets remain similarly priced), however, for those on a tight budget there's always the local cafeteria in Willemsoord (~800m from the partyplace, open daily 2-9pm)).

So, no fun games of salmonella roulette this time.

I guess the Hapkar is out as well, because that is specific to Brabant and not repeated where we're going.

If that meant the curry, then I'll borrow your sad face :(

cih: a hapkar isnt specific for brabant, they're everywhere in .nl on markets etc, but well, i guess it more depends if there's a hapkar owner in the area to make a similar agreement with. also, with a snackbar in 800m walking distance, you can still get your daily dose of frikandel speciaal there!
CiH, Dipswitch: We don't have full confirmation for either of those options, and besides not wanting to BBQ ourselves again (with all health risk potential involved in that), we don't want to rely on under-equipped food deliveries like the pizza services that we used in the past (again, with all health risk potential involved in that).

Then there is the question of whether a hapkar has extra value when the snack shop is at easy walking distance- and, more importantly, if we can find a hapkar that's available in that particular weekend.

For these reasons we've decided not to take any risks with the calculation of our food ticket price. The ticket will be 35 instead of 20 euros- for that money, you get 3 meals delivered to the location each day by a professional caterer. If we end up spending less than 35 euros on catering, for example by booking either our widely admired currygods, or perhaps a hapkar if the public demand for it is obvious, the "profit" will be returned to food ticket owners in the form of drink coupons.

Hope that clears up any worries about the food situation :)

So far the food at outline each year was pretty damn excellent (despite me being super picky when it comes to food), so I have pretty good faith that this year will be no different, even if the food options themselves won't be the same.

(the salmonella bbq wasn't so bad either btw :D I surely didn't get sick)

Happy with the food, whatever form it comes. three meals daily from the food ticket sounds excellent and even more provision than from past parties.

Hmm I just noticed my previous post can be somewhat misinterpreted- It's 3 meals, one every day- brunch will be served as usual by the organisers :)

And brunch will be included in the standard ticket, as per usual :)

The new food options sound good to me too :)

Although Havoc, I hope you and the other food organizers didn't beat yourselves up over what happened at the BBQ last year. This kind of thing happens, particularly if it was a first time for people when BBQ-ing. I think we were lucky in that no-one I know who was there (to the best of my knowledge) was ill as a result of the BBQ food. Fortunately the problem with the chicken was caught early and these, I believe, were put back in the oven / BBQ to ensure it had cooked properly. Like Knoeki mentioned earlier, I personally was not ill as a result of the BBQ and enjoyed the meal a lot. Certainly the sausages were cooked well, along with the potatoes that were being offered so not all of the food was undercooked by any means.

I've personally had much, much worse BBQ food elsewhere and I did rate 2014's Outline BBQ very highly, despite the issues that occurred there.

I would hope that the currygods are available and willing to make a curry once again this year, they did fantastically on that before.

Even if the prices have gone up a bit for entry to Outline and including an improved food offer, judging by the history of Outline parties alone, any increase is worth it for sure :) Outline itself started off on a good footing to begin with and this has continued with tweaks to make the experience even better :)

+1 Felice, couldn't have said it better myself.

Felice: Thanks, and yes, I agree the situation last year could have been much worse- I ate a lot of that BBQ meat (was working hard ;)), it tasted fine and I didn't get ill or anything like that. However, I don't believe in terms like "luck" or "fortune" when it comes to food preparation, the reason it turned out OK was the hard work and quick reactions from a bunch of people both from the organizing team as well as among the visitors- so problems were solved before they turned worse. But they did occur, and so it becomes my responsibility as main organizer to look for better alternatives- both in terms of manpower and safety. :)

About prices- the entry tickets will be the same price as last year: 65 euro in presale, 75 at the door. The price difference will be in the optional food ticket, although it might be less significant than I thought a few days ago because it looks like we managed to find a hapkar after all- details are coming up asap :)

We're proud to announce the new location for Outline 2015! The party will take place at Groepsaccomodatie "De Riethoeve" in Willemsoord, the Netherlands.

Maybe it'd be a good idea to update the thread topic since the location was changed?

That requires some praying to the Pouet gods.

In other news, we've managed to secure the services of a new Hapkar, so should you decide to purchase our foodticket, you are guaranteed to be served as much friet, frikandel, kroket, kaassouffle, hamburger, braadworst, kipschnitzel, mayonaise, curry, joppie, mosterd and uitjes as you can eat- and have it on a bun should you so prefer :)
