Revision 2015 - 3rd to 6th April - Saarbrücken, Germany

category: parties [glöplog]
Yes, it was fortunately "only" a theft.

But if it wasn't a scener who stole ghostowns stuff, then who was it? Who else was there?

As in: who else was there at that specific time?

So, basically all your stuff was lifted from the toilet tunnel when you weren't there? That is pretty fucking shit! I'd heard your car was broken into, but if it was on the premise, that's really bad :(

also, next year it's better to cancel all compos and just let ronny, g00bs and hoffman play instead!
Sir: It was said that the tunnel apparently has multiple (unprotected) entrances to the outside of the hall.
Saga: That's not true, the tunnel can only be accessed from inside the hall or by somebody having the keys to the emergency exit doors. The hallenmeisters think that a well-known thief who specializes in big events in the E Werk must have slipped in either through the fence or by the infodesk staff during the compos and went through the tunnel - which was basically empty at that point and therefore a perfect target.

We'll increase security again next year to minimize the risk of something like this happening.

dfox: A, thanks for the clarification (never trust IRC rumors!). That's some nasty stuff either way.
Sign of times - the Poles robbed in Germany :)

Glad to hear you guys made it back home safely. Next time get a car with a spare set of keys. Also call your bank and ask how the f*ck it's possible to access the card multiple times with using different atms. That card(s) should be swallowed after 3rd unsuccessful attempt.

D.Fox: CCTV camera in a well known weak point should do the trick. Also coming in and out behind the info desk I've been asked to show the wristband just once. Not sure about the well known 'hausverbot' face or just carelessness. Noone to blame of course, just pointing the easiness of sneaking into the party hall.

Actually, that is a point. I can't remember ever being asked to show my wristband when entering, and I know the coat I was wearing covered it, so it couldn't be seen without me pulling my sleeve up.

Yeah, we're aware of that and will probably put a security detail at the entrance to check on people. It will be more annoying for everybody but it should fix the issue.

Were CompoStudios recorded and will they be on Youtube in the not-so-distant-future?
I also noticed that nobody checked my wristband even once, but I just assumed it was because everyone knows me anyway! :P

Wow that happened in the toilets tunnel?

My story:
I've been in almost all revisions and breakpoints and never had problems with drunk people (even I laughed with them), but this year had been a bit rough. Note to myself: don't sit never again in first row near of the drunken polish: screams all the day, lots of rubbish, a guy puking over himself just behind my site, people pushing and moving my chair (when I was sitting) too drunk to say sorry or being aware of it. I had to move one seat to the right because lot of bottles and rubbish were accumulating touching my laptop and I was afraid to some bottle were spilt on it.

I remember when the organisation put into the screen that the Polish guys where theft and I thought: They were theft or maybe they lost his keys and wallets because they spent all the party fuck*** drunk.
I feel bad, I honestly feel sorry for the theft (being from Spain, Revision is a paradise in security and thrust in people) but at the same time I thought: karma is a bitch.

Is great to read that you arrived safe and sound to home, but I hope next year remember that being annoyed all the party by drunk people, although is not as bad (obviously) as being theft, isn't too pleasant.

Sorry for the rant.

Uuuuh, don't you think this is an at best rude, at worst dangerous generalization? Some Polish guys were drunk/obnoxious, but were they the same who later the victims of the theft?

Also, what the hell is wrong with your censoring? Fuck***!
added on the 2015-04-11 19:51:51 by okkie okkie
Yes, indeed.
In fact I wasn't sure at first ( and I didn't want to generalise ), buuuut, the big screen said: "our friends of Ghostown", and were the same guys that went to pick up the prize for competition.
Is possible that the drunken guys were just friends of ghostown and they simple were with them in the prizes ceremony (as are from the same country).

In any case, as I said, those just where my feelings in that moment and I feel bad for it. I don't want in any case that no-one can be theft.
In fact I never complained the organisation in hope that all we can have a nice party.

But, Ok, I really apologise if ghostown don't have nothing to do with that group of polish.

@okkie Haha what happens with the censoring?

Oh, and now that you answer, I think I forget the most important thing: THANK YOU for still organising the party. Apart from my small incident, the party was great and funny as usual.
Thanks for the hard work.

Wait, what?!... You mean BOTH??? North AND South?
...
But HOW???

The poles were robbed from Germany? We must get them back! Otherwise they have nothing to hang their flags on!

Shotgan You're wrong. Guys from Ghosttown dont drunk, they worked at party and try to finish demo before deadline. I have seen many people drunk from different countries and it's no problem for me and other people because it's party time... so do not generalize about polisch people ok ?
added on the 2015-04-11 21:55:40 by dakota dakota
@dakota I'm really sorry if ghostown wasn't from that polish group (although they were with them in the prizes ceremony). Ok, I'm wrong, I apologize and I'm sorry (hontestly).
But, I think I've been misunderstood. My intention was far from generalise. I was doing reference to the polish guys of the first row.
In any case I want (and I can't) generalise to all polish population (that would be very stupid by my side). So, sorry again, wasn't my intention.

Shotgan: ok, it's no problem. Next time We invite you to our polish corner :) We are little bit loud and some drunk but always very friendlly. Really :)

well, talking about the lower-case polish by itself could be considered rude by some of the grammar nazi..

just my $0.02 :-p
