Sorry, that could have gone a bit better ... though I had a thought in the shower that if we'd made a whole one out of a single color thinner acrylic the other parts could have been bonded to that. They colors are only in order in one direction, so it works in theory.

Not trying to promote myself here, though it may sound like it anyway, but I've been doing those key fobs and badges for a while now for various groups. Excepting for the Revision, SceneSat, and Nectarine key fobs none of them have been sold yet, that I know of. Also, for those who had some made, you're free to get the design files from me if you want. They convert nicely enough to 3D designs using Shapeways' 2D uploader if you just set the appropriate shapes in the file to have fills of black, various shades of gray (depth), and white. Only single sided that way, but you can use that as a trade off to make them thinner. :)

I've also had small metal Revision fobs on "sale" for a while. I don't think any have been bought though. Sale is on quotes because I didn't set a markup so what it shows is how much it costs. Do note the size, though, they're quite a bit smaller than the wooden ones and require a thinner gauge split ring. However if you find one, I can attest the prototype has held up very well on my key ring. Over time it rubbed off on the mini-ring and gave it the same color as the piece.

If you wanted a mini-Jumaluata Salmiakki particle, just visit that link and order one out of black plastic or matte black steel. :)

I like it, but I think the letters stick out too far. Unfortunately I did try to upload it to Shapeways and it doesn't seem to offer ceramic at all as a material choice for the model. It seems they discontinued the material, and the replacement is porcelain, which isn't available on their site yet. Also no word on whether they consider their porcelain process to be food safe, like they did their ceramics. :(

I guess you can sign up to beta the porcelain, but that's not for me ... I don't have the modeling chops to really test it. :)
