Naaah, not possible for the supposed-to-be Gravedigger Track. It's a Mod I tracked in the Summer of '95 when I wasn't active scenewise anymore. I recorded it to Mini-Disc in 98 before I sold my 1200. The binaries are lost forever, all what remained is a MP3 from the direct recording, so no, no further editing possible ;)

but be sure that I finished something remotely for one or another music compo.

Hmm, tracked music compo limit is 4 minutes, streamed is 5 minutes. Why? Shouldn't the limit be the same on all compos? You do want a long track from me in the tracked music compo, don't you? ;)
Just make a looped chiptune! :D

Saga: I know how you're feeling, being on the other side of the table too (as an organizer) the time limits are there, to keep the total time of the music compo(s) down alltogether.

Also, are you guys getting ready for partaaaaaaaaaaaaaay? :)

Puryx: Oh, I do understand about the organizing aspect. but I don't understand why you would pose different time limits for different music compos, especially since Streamed Music is usally the most overrun music compo, not the other, more specialized ones (though in case of Nordlicht the number of entries seems to be somewhat balanced, Streamed Music still being the biggest compo).

So if anything (and I'm not saying that it should be that way), it would make sense to have a lower limit on streamed than on the other compos (which are in my eyes the more scene-relevant compos anyway - no offense to anyone making streamed music, but anyone can do that with any tool, while the exemusic / tracked music compos are inherently bound to demoscene tools).

Compromise: 4:30 limit for all music compos? ;)
I think Saga Musix has a point.

As far as this do not count for music entries in the gravedigger-compo, because my entry will be 4:55. So I suggest 5:00 minutes for all music entries, because at Nordlicht we won't get so much musical entries I guess.

regarding the max music length: I know the streaming compo limit was raised for a certain reason but I can see none why this shouldnt be possible with the other music compos as well.
I will ask our music compo guys about this, no promises yet tho =)

The reason was "SunSpire wants to enter his 5-minute track"? :P
(Happy Birthday SunSpire btw ;)
I´d vote for a 6:28 min limit for all music compos :)

[x] party ticket
[x] train ticket Tübingen->Lübeck
[ ] DJ set prepared
[ ] Lübeck->Bremen
[ ] Bremen->Tübingen

The last two are where you guys come in ;)

Anyone going from Lübeck to Bremen by car on Friday and willing to take a friendly scener with them? Anyone returning to the general Stuttgart area on Sunday and willing to take me back? Paying my part of the fuel goes without saying.

I can always fall back to railway, but travelling with sceners will be nicer and cheaper ;)

The times were set like this because I wanted to put an emphasis on the streaming music competition since that seemed to be a very important compo during the first Nordlicht parties.

It is a bit late now to change the rules for the music compos (because people already prepared / submitted tracks according to current rules) but we might review them next year.

It's never too late to extend the limits, people can still extend their tune if they want to take advantage or simply settle with their 4:00 track. ;)
whom can i send a "got papers?" bigscreen slide to, to be displayed at the party? it would be great if that would be possible...

My tracked Music entry is only 2:47 so I donate 1:13 minutes to Virgill and Cons :) so you guys only need another 1:15 to get your title played in full .
