Also PiirakkaMunalla is still one of the funniest slash stupid handles in the scene.

If you have two out of the three Saint tracks, why would you leave the third off... :(

Of course! It's a mastering process called MODification, which involves resampling the source material in a low 8bit samplerate and then playing it back in an awkward left/right stereo split using a weird DAC with a built-in low-pass filter.

@vesuri: i quite like the left/right panning. it makes tracks sound huge. used a lot in the 70's..i find it quite disappointing to hear amiga track in mono..

Now that you mentioned it, the "remastering" (regardless of whether it's the right term or not) in question here did not make the tracks mono - individual instruments were appropriately panned and other subtle enhancements made to make the stereo image more pleasant for the listener. Of course, if the listener didn't find the tracks that pleasant to begin with it doesn't necessarily help that much.

@vesuri: tape release could be interesting. collectors would love that. and you would make still some minimal profit even if the price stayed the same..
(same goes for pay what you want option..profit wise)

..i bet this will bite me in the ass when i put my old albums for sale=D
still haven't figured it out myself how to make it worth while when there are free copies available in the same format..(if digital)

I don't think profit is in any way relevant here... To me this is Remute's effort to make these old tracks more accessible to anyone interested in electronic music - not just the geeks willing to play files in formats gone by. I'd say all the (rather minimal) funds will go to future releases, regardless of whether those are Remute releases or dA JoRMaS releases (under Sewer Leak).

If a physical copy is more to your liking, the 20 Years of dA JoRMaS 12" is still available on Sewer Leak :)

@vesuri: if profit is not relevant i suggest you change the price to pay what you want!
because now it seems profit is the only thing relevant..

I'll forward this feedback to Remute.

Now also available as a part of the Return bundle - almost pay what you want ($2 or more and you get some games to go with it).
