I'm not talking oldschool. I'm talking new school. Which is the most advanced on ECS? flares, lights etc... anything?

And just to get this straight, we're talking ECS and not OCS, right?

I dont think there's a lot of ECS-specific demos out there at all.. I think http://www.pouet.net/prod.php?which=10340 required 1mb chip though..
I see... many effects seems done with the charsets though. Anything more advanced?

Charsets? The Amiga doesn't have any charset screenmodes.

by far: Voyage from Razor1911

thats the advanced thing! the brilliant coders of those prods have software-emulated the kind of charset screenmodes you can only find on more advanced computer architectures!
hmmm I don't know.. anyway I didn't mean to offend anyone with that charset statements. I mean... people seems to get the shit out of a c64. Why is A500 so alone?

Have you actually watched the demos people have suggested? They do some pretty amazing things with 7Mhz 68000 and a mid-80s graphics chipset, you know.

Xeron: + Blitter + Copper + Paula please :)

keops:

Well, blitter and copper was kind of included in "graphics chipset"...

Exactly that's the fact. Keops is an Atari guy who hadn't these chips and had to do _all_ with the CPU. There you can see what a man can do with an MC68000 and some brain cells. ;)
