Jazzcat's EP

category: music [glöplog]

Hello everybody!

I just wanted to let you know that my debut EP (under Melba alias) was released on July by Lemongrass Music. Pitchup magazine describes it as a "blend of funk, house, soul and 80’s synth-pop” that combines electronics, vocals and real instruments. I think they hit the nail on the head with it.

3 of the tracks are heavily remixed versions of my demoscene works (Human Traffic, Sushi Boys and Sunglasses at Night).

There are few demosceners among the guests: PSK, Roberts (from Applause) and Dizzy.

EP is available to stream and download from all usual platforms, check it out here: www.melbasound.com

Visual part and simple lyrics videos were made by Slayer with a little help from AceMan.

You can follow Melba at:

FB
Twitter
YouTube

Physical CD will be released in limited quantities on autumn. If you are interested in getting one, please let me know.

Grabbed it on Google Play (I had leftover credit there, otherwise would have used Bandcamp. :P) Sushi Boyz is one of my absolute favorite Amiga demos in recent memory, so that remix/reimagining alone is worth it for me. The other tracks are great too!

You mind if I add Sushi Electrique to my DJ library? It fits perfectly with some of the other funky synth tracks I play regularly. ;)

Thanks for all your comments! :)

Btw. There's a discount code on Bandcamp (melba) and it's worth 20%.

@Jmph: sure, no problem.

Cheers
