Thanks, it is a start. It is readable so that is something. Since the orginal e-book is lost for ever, I'll settle for the preview.

@numtek: why even bother wasting your time on pompous bullshit like this?

After I read "watermark" on the first page of this thread I threw up in my mouth and whoever wrote it: come get your punch in the face, it's free of charge.

This is a free community.

I was surprised how slender this book actually is. From a brief look at the preview, it seems more like a one-off magazine issue.

Also, looks like demoscenebook.com has some new high-priced items on sale. ;)

I still have one of the first copies, which were printed on wrong materials. Very nice except a bit stiff (too heavy paper was used :D )

how is it that with every fibre in my being is capitalist yet I feel it's sort of awkward to write commercial literature on/about the demoscene and it's merits/techniques et cetera

go write an e-manifest about it, niels... and charge 10 euros for it!
It would be 1 sheet of paper, "Manifest rule #1: be a man. - Niels"

Surefire bestseller.

and legend, the paper was too heavy? you sure you're getting enough proteins? :)

(I had a snappier line in mind but then I remembered something about respect and hypermmx.xm and well..)

I'm the proud owner of the printed book ;-) It really starts of good explaining how the scene was organized (swappers, crackers, 0-day warez, being elite, FREE, etc, etc) Nice! So in that perspective I fully understand why people ask for a FREE ebook version since the 1000 copied are sold out years ago. It's 2021...please release the ebook before it disappears.

my Novation Peak synthesizer is resting on a copy of https://www.amazon.de/Kunst-Code-Maschine-Computer-Demoszene-Medientheorie/dp/3837617491 (a good book) :-)
