If the government wants to use the vaccine to give It to the population to control growth and whatnot why don't all the 170+ governments of the world put it into our drinking water?

Wait, what. Whom are you quoting now? =) (And i don't think this is how vaccines work.)

fizzer, I can 'accept' several of the current vaccines, Moderna being the preferrable one for me.

Okay, sorry I misunderstood you then. I thought that you didn't want to be vaccinated in any way at all. So I guess your major concern is the possibility of your government abusing this situation as a pretext to destroy personal agency.

Deadline could for example have an outdoor bigscreen
An outdoors screen facing the busy bridge could make for nice demoscene advertising/outreach for random passers-by, too! =)

I'd be willing to part with a serious donation to Deadline for that. :-)

I do agree, but then, it's in October in Berlin - what are the chances of pulling it off without shit weather? :/

50/50, maybe? =) Earlier instalments often had surprisingly nice, warm and sunny weather. But yeah, surprise, after all. This year seems to be on the rainy side again.

Sixty-fourty I'd say, or even more of an edge for "somewhat ok" weather. The bigscreen and projector just shouldn't fly away or get drowned entirely.

It's not cheap, but of course you can always at least put a stage roof over outdoor equipment like a bigscreen. It would be great to have DJ sets outdoors, if possible.

Normally for October + Berlin, you would expect shit weather. But well, it's random-weather-2021, so we might be lucky.

The Deadline venue also has the great benefit of having doors on two sides. Creating a strong airflow will be easy. But of course that also means it might be cold/windy inside, then.

JUST OUT OF CURIOUSITY, HOW DO YOU EXPLAIN THAT THOUSANDS IF NOT HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS OF GOVERNMENT EMPLOYEES, DOCTORS, POLITICIANS AND RESEARCHES KEEP THIS 'CONSPIRACY' A SECRET?

AND BEFORE YOU ANSWER MIGHT I SUGGEST YOU READ THIS FIRST.

BTW if you think it is your right to endanger others and if you feel like a victim if you are prevented doing so, you show the symptom of a psychopathic (or at least maligned narcissistic) character. It is typical for this type to feel free to endanger others since they lack the empathy a healthy personality has, thus they never put themselves into the position of those who have to suffer due to their actions.

That's why the "opinions" and "ethics" of these personalities are so irritating for most, since these are missing the aspect of empathy, which normally also is an aspect of how an opinion is formed and then expressed. They never talk about how their ethics help others - it is always about how their ethics help them. Because without empathy, that is all you know and care about: "What is best for me?"

MAYBE I AM TROLLING, OR I MIGHT BE STYLIZING MY CONVERSATIONS TO FIT OUR PRODUCTIONS. MAYBE I DON'T HAVE TO WEAR MY GLASSES IF I TYPE ALL CAPS
MAYBE I'M JUST TOO ENTHUSIASTIC.

THAT'S NOT AN EXPLANATION, OR ARE YOU GOING TO TELL ME TO DO MY OWN RESEARCH?

A skeptic who's skepticism is not informed by scientific method, empirical evidence, is not a skeptic. He is in fact the opposite: An anti-skeptic, that defends faith against the skepticism of science.

SALINGA, THAT MIGHT'VE BEEN THE SEXIEST THING SOMEONE SAID IN THIS THREAD.

A proponent of science who has not yet understood that the majority of knowledge is based only on theories and is usually only confirmed as fact when years of research have led to exactly the same results shouldn't talk much about science. :D

Being vaccinated may permit taking the moral high ground over unvaccinated people, but with news like "75 pupils contract COVID-19 from a vaccinated person at school party in Tel Aviv" there may be enough reason to have frequent tests at an indoors event regardless of vaccination status.
