Without any parties how could it? When parties could start as normal it could be taken advantage of and applied for grants and money from governments..

Process of getting 'global' UNESCO cultural heritage status is still work-in-progress, and will be for quite some years most likely. Concluding whether it has brought advantage or disadvantage is a bit premature at this point of time. Also COVID situation doesn't help at least.

At the moment there are some countries that have received country-level cultural heritage status. Would anyways be nice to hear stories from organizers and others if the country level status has been used for something (funding, marketing, etc) :)

waffle: i believe technically speaking you can't use it for marketing, there is some clause that says you can't put things like "this activity is recognized by UNESCO as cultural heritage" on your pages and announcements.

definitely helps when you're looking for a venue to host your event though. people take your pitch a bit more seriously.
