Now in the correct thread:

Rawtekk - Open Borders VIP - old YT video has snippets from several different demos in it - from start to finish

This has now been resolved amicably:

Nice! (I actually really like a lot of RAWTEKKs music)

Maybe not directly 1:1 visuals... but the idea and scenes reminds me a lot of a C64 demo and some other demos.

Afaik, J.M.J. has also used scene music or elements of well-known scene-tunes in the past too.

Not sure if Trance Dance had permissions from Ash & Dave (and others?) for the video
Trance Dance - Do The Dance (Video) (Which I guess is actually a video for Trance Dance Featuring C* – Do The Trance)

@teo: You are referring to 4-5 notes?! I hope this is a joke.

Apart from that i don't think that JMJ would have a reason to steal melodies. He is one of the pioneers of electronic music.

the irony to blame jmj for stealing scene stuff when the scene has been ripping him of since day 1 :)

but then again, for more recent stuff, jmj have made some use of ghost producers so its not completely impossible.
George Harrison lost a legal case over a similar situation where he could realistically have come up with the tune independently (but couldn't definitively prove that), so it's not completely inconceivable that if Vincenzo made enough noise with lawyers he could get some "go away" money from JMJ :-) Probably not worth it though...

But re the current video - I would gently suggest that vague "zomg they used metaballs and glow in a music video" type things belong in the demoish videos thread instead, unless there's reason to suspect an actual rip.

@gasman: The JMJ-video is about the music not the visuals.

@gaspode: By "the current video" I'm referring to the one MrVainSCL posted.

Sampling Stakker Humanoid's - Humanoid just calls for ripping the visuals of this fabulous demo by anyone. Isn't stealing visuals just like sampling audio ?

Greetings, demosceners! I have 3 tickets for the concert of our beloved Jean-Michel Jarre in Madrid, Spain on 10 July. Jarre recently announced a concert in Valencia, which is much more preferable for me. Is anyone interested in buying tickets for the concert in Madrid? Officially, they are all sold out, but I can sell them at a big discount. If so, drop me a line to manwe (at) demoscene (dot) ru

I find Jarre's "Oxygene 10" quite similar to Purple Motion's "Final Reality" titles soundtrack, released a year earlier
