i wouldnt mention #revision as a "good irc channel" at all. if anything, its where some people gather, when they remember there was a party at easter which they are not visiting, for the 20st time.

Was only waiting for that mandatory xkcd. Its always reassuring to know even they predict IRC to stay for long past my time :)
never change a running server
Still using irc, but have to say that it's a shame how easy it would be to upgrade it to be more modern. Just have messages with urls to some CDN etc. Matrix/Element works somewhat well from mobile but it's also too complex on it's own.
