Looking at the amount of amiga releases at "non-breakpoint-parties" during the last years I'd say: no
From the point of a visitor I'd say "yes, sure", but as we've seen with TUM'04, it doesn't just work by announcing the competitions... (and you need someone capable of handling the competitions and you need empty timeslots in the timetable). Continue discussing this, it could, nevertheless, be interesting.

Like Slummy said. That's the reason why TUM won't burn it's fingers on it anymore. This isn't a chicken/egg mystery, there's just a glaring lack of supply.

I believe Solskogen accepts Amiga entries. Scene Event certainly does.

depends. if this could be fixed and if it's going to be announced in time, i'm sure there would be some takers.
i for one would love the idea of having some amiga releases there.

stonda: cant go there, but if I'm not lying about releases again I will release something there!
I guess that most parties are flexible enough to make a certain compo, eg. Amiga demo compo, if enough releases (3 or above) for the compo is present.

Otherwise the Amiga demos entried will go in a combined demo-compo.

At least I think this is how SE would handle it (right, Shifter?) - and if they needed help to execute the compo I would gladly help them along.

oh and when we're at it, make a executeable music compo and of course a separate pokemon mini compo :)

but seriously, the idea is good, but lacking entries would make this compo pretty much obsolete. the best way simply would be to try it out, if there won't be enough releases, combine. and if there's no interest at all, dont do it. maybe a poll on the evoke-site would do it, kinda like this:
"yes, i'd love to see such a compo" , "yes, i'd love to deliver such an entry" , "uhm... no."

oh well, just my two cents :)

freeze: there is a console compo on evoke since 2000! also called "real wild".

dirtie: as one of the organizers (but still only speaking from my OWN point of view) i would definetely greet things like that for evoke. but the tum experience showed everyone that there is nearly no support to be avaited... :( so - i don't know... what's for sure - if you bring along an amiga and an demo/intro entry, it can participate in the "real wild" compo.

dipswitch: I know. I just want to get more and more on everyone's nerves and create a strage image. :)

Freeze: You are fucking going on to my nerves already!!! >:OO

And, yes, I'd like to see Amiga stuff @Evoke, but I doubt there'll be many entries.

I have already convinced most of the german Scarab members to go there. Moods Plateau as well. So I could bet we would at least have a few things to show - probably.

But waiting until somebody is delivering Amiga stuff without announcing an Amiga compo is the wrong way. Offer the chance to deliver Amiga releases and wait what will happen. Yes, it might take more time than one announcement + a few months like in case with Tum until you get enough support. But it's possible. And I would like to help the Evoke party with that stuff if you need any support from me. Guess that would make sense as I don't live that far away from the partyplace...

ifparty accepts any platform. You only have to bring the hardware to play it on the show.

as far as i can speak for the rest of tUM organizer team i can tell you that this year's tUM will be completely different.

as a party on the end of the year it's not understandable for us that we have so few releases. we'd like to preserve most of the "common" competition categories, but the direction we see things moving would be to merge more and more competitions together.

we are not satisfied with something like that. nevertheless having a big "release-party" like breakpoint with huge prizemoney in the middle of the year is just nothing we can compete with.

so, we just won't try anymore. in spite of that we will always be a multiplatform party - and as most of the tUM orgas are BP orgas aswell, we surely don't lack the knowhow to handle AMiGA competition.

stay tuned for the upcoming tUM*o5 survey. we are already working on it.

Woo yay, very great! Tum was always great fun, even without many / any releases, yet it's nice to hear that also other Platform entries will be possible.
Looking forward to the TUM survey and the ability to do something for one of the nicest german parties ever. :D
