Richieb, show your e-mail and messenger/icq account so we could talk to you directly and help you. First, you have to understand what a demo is, and what is not. In your other posts you say you know it, but even if you have watched one thousand demos, by the questions you do, you don't have yet an idea of what coding a demo is. So, I would chat directly with you to explain all, and telling you what you need to learn. But take in mind, this is not something you do in 2 days or 2 months, no matter how creative or intelligent you are, we work hard for years to put an stupid rotating cube in the screen.

...and then, after the old times of the demoscene when you had to write your own triangle filler and the so, OpenGL arrived. And he saw it was good, and everybody could do a rotating cube from scratch in one afternoon by following a tutorial from NeHe. And most of the effort and the code you had done before, was no good anymore...

That's depressing! :P

spock, there's quite some hard nights of trying and studying to figure out what the hell the nehe tutorial you just compiled is actually doing, for people having hardly any (graphics) programming background.

in other words: you're actually pissing on the fact that someone made tutorials, instead of on hardware acceleration/opengl.

ok this was my first attempt at creating a 'demo' (animation) about 10yrs ago when i first got a pc
i had no programming knowledge and created it by collecting stuff from BBS systems and playing around..

my idea was to create floppy disk business cards for all the local businesses, but i never worked out how i could combine the music and anim together in under 1 meg

i guess i need to learn c++ etc if i am to be able to combine the files into 1 exe and make the graphics realtime

I'm really interested to see other peoples 1st creations
post them here so i dont feel so stupid :o)

i still think my floppy disk business card idea is a good one :o)
i know it doesnt pass a a demo but would it pass as a music disk sysop?
it just seems such a shame to waste it?
thnx texel
i have allowed my email address on my acc profile
mail me and i'll send u my win messenger address
many thanks
damit here it is with the music doh?

submit prod say :

if it's an artpack or musicdisk without GUI/viewer, _DON'T ADD IT_
if it's not demoscene related, _DON'T ADD IT_
if you have doubts about it beeing demoscene related, _DON'T ADD IT_

a musicdisk is a program (.exe) that shows an interface and plays a selection of music. So no.

Seeing as it's just an animation player, and a mod player, running separately, its not really a demo, and i'd advise against adding it here. Perhaps if you can get it running in a demo tool like demopaja, and add a bit more?

yep
as soon as i can learn the appropriate prog language i want to do a proper demo and expand/animate the graphics into the pyramid
demopaja wont let me import an exe or mod?
what ive been looking for for ages is something like demopaja that will let me import a .mod/xm aswell as the usual jpg/avi stuff

fliexe1 file info said there was a version 2 that had a built in player but ive never found it?
i think it was pointed out earlier, but you might give werkkzeug a try..
