RaS: Is that new? I think I've seen it before? I mean, some weeks ago?

Ras: Very nice! I like the font style. The checkerboard background is a bit distracting, tho.

Ras: Awesome the way you have the "U" and the "T" connected to each other, Got my vote

I think a thread like that, where ppl can post the logos and have not to wait for analogue to add them, could refresh the logo-making for pouet. We need much mooore! :D

Ras owns logodesign. Well. Ok, he shares ownership with some others, but as of right now, he's got the crown (:

I hope that .png works, too?!

because not all browsers support it yet?
added on the 2005-04-27 22:57:08 by keops keops
Only the lame ones don't (:
But yeah ie7 is supposed to support it. Or something. Look for it, and the overflow bugs it triggers, in 2008 or something.
I don't know what it looks like on ie, but seriously, one could throw in great 'fuckings to ie users' with it I'd figger.
elend: cool. And to the hell with obsolete browsers.

keops: Rather say, one deprecated "browser" does not the support the PNG whose specs are public since october 1996

p01 & truck: sorry but I'm not into these useless zealots debates, IE/FireFox, Window/Linux, DX/GL...

Elend: thank you for not being an intolerant ass and for chosing a format supported by all browsers, not only for some eleet :)

Well. When I built my homepage, I tested it with FireFox only. Then a mate came and said: it doesn't work with Internet Explorer. And well, I didn't care at first.
But then after a bit of thinking I wanted that as many ppl as possible can have a look at my page. So, I fixed it for IE.

And for Logos it's the same. I want them to be viewable to everyone or at least as many as possible.

I hope in the future everyone will use FireFox or Opera only. (What reason can someone have to still use IE?)

keops: I get your point, but PNG is out since 9 fucking years, that's not like it's out since 6 months or so.

And if POUET's admin want, they can add few lines of JS to add a DX filter (!!!) to make the Alpha Transparency work in IE5.5+.

Alpha transparency is not a gadget.

well I didn't choose alpha blending because.. well.. it's for web only. it still looks good with single colour transparency because it was antialiased on pouets blue background.

If you want better quality, I can send you any size of the pic you want, because it's 100 % vector.

p01: problem is, approx 50% of pouet users browse with IE6, therefore pouet has to be as compatible as possible. Discarding/lecturing all those people does not make sense :)

Demo makers are clever enough to see the advantages of PNG and to use a better browser once they know/realize that IE is a crap. :p ( the only thing I appreciate with IE is its fast, but buggy, rendering engine )

Here comes the few lines needed to fix the PNGs in IE5.5+
