What old hardware do you have?

category: general [glöplog]
- Amiga 500 + 1MB expansion,external floppydrive (broken)
- Commodore MPS 1550 C needle printer (no cartridges left :( )
- perhaps I will add my mom's old McIntosh Powerbook 180 to the collection

"modern"
- A1200/060 ZorroIV BUS/Mediator ZIV PCI, 64 MB Fast,
100MBit Ethernet, Repulse Sound, Voodoo3/3000 Gfx.

let's add ancient sofware as a fun fact:

hmmm old hardware?

2x vic20, 2x C16, 3x C64, 1x Amiga 500, 1x Commodore CDTV and 1x Amiga 2000 sums up my share of what I would call old hardware.

Gameboy Color (dead)
486 DX/2 66 MHz, 16 MB RAM

if a Pentium 3 800mhz count as old hardware I could add at least 15 computers to my list :D

Ok, I'll do the geek test too...
- Atari 1040 STE 4 MB RAM + HDD
- Amiga 1200 + Blizzard IV 16 MB RAM
- Gameboy Colour

At my parents' place I've still got another A1200, an A600, a Thomson TO8 and my old K6 + GUS ACE 1 MB. They regularly threaten me to throw them away though, so maybe they're all gone now :)

- atari2600
- n64
- amiga 600

Let's see.
Atari 2600
Atari 800
Atari 800XL
Atari 1200XL
Atari 130XE
Five 1050 drives
Commodore 64 and a 1541 drive.
Commodore 1702 monitor, still has its little door over the knobs :) (The best color composite Y/C monitor ever made!)
All of the above is working!
Various old P133-P233 computers, some in use as firewalls and Linux servers. Most of this still works, some needs parts and reassembly.
11 arcade games such as Pacman, Galaga, Joust, Robotron, etc. (Yes, the real ones!)
11 pinball machines ranging in age from 9 years to 23 years old. Technically all of these could be considered computers or computer driven... hey, I gotta be able to brag somehow! :)

- 3 x Commodore Amiga 500 (2 with memory expansion, one with external fdd)
- 3 x Atari STFM (2 sets of non-installed memory expansions)
- Atari Mega STE4 (Sadly without a keyboard)
- Commodore 128D
- Commodore 128
- 2 x Commodore 64, a few different floppy drives and cassette decks for this and the above
- Spectravideo MSX SVI 738 X'press
- Spectravideo MSX SVI 728
- A hires b/w monitor for the Ataris and a standard color one for the Commodores, can't remember the model numbers :P
- PCs from the processor generations of 8088, 286, 386, 486, P1 and P2. I guess the older Pentiums still don't count as anything old in this case, though.
- Various oldie addon cards/cartridges etc. like soundcards, graphics cards (amongst them some classic scene cards like GUSes and the Tseng ET4000 W32P ... sigh)

Fond memories.

I might want to sell at least some of this crap some day.

MadenMann:
you may right in saying the CommodoreDynamicTotalVision was not _sold_ as an Amiga,
but there clearly was an Amiga board inside...later it got improved with 68030, keyboard and infrared mouse!

madenmann, the very same people also claim that amiga 600 is not an amiga.
yet, my cdtv was a nice black a500 with 1mb, pretty cool at that time. could have lived without the cd drive tho, yet the infrared remote/joystick was a nice enhancement as well.

dipswitch, those screens we actually only obtained because the actual screens (which are sadly both broken now) were too much to drag around whenever i played out with the c64s .. but true, looking at them for longer than 10 mins actually doesn't do any good for the eyes.

proteque, no, both are b/w .. gotta watch demos on real screens or in vice. =)

.. dipswitch, you just got me motivated to actually install my old unused color tv instead of those small beasts on that table. thanks man. =)

commodore vic20 + tape recorder
commodore 64 + 1541 disk drive + tape recorder
amiga 3000 16Mhz + 110mb SCSI harddrive + unknown videocard with 8 videos output (unused computer saved from the trashcan)

Ngtflyer, holy hell, man :)! You must have quite an arcade hall at your house to fit all of those vintage gaming machines in. Do you have all of them set up and ready to play? Very nice having those classic arcade machines and pinball ones around.

I live in a pretty decent sized loft. All of my games are accessible and playable. Here's a teaser shot!
