I started to mailtrade and do graphics within the Amiga scene around 91-92, i had been making graphics for a couple of years prior to it (not scene graphics though). I joined my first scene group in 92 because I had graphics to show and they let me in..

quite a boring story of how i got in the scene coming up.

in 1999 i met keops in boarding school. we used to be part of the cool guys who skipped class to meet at the playground and secretly smoke nutmeg.
one day, while having a rather ok trip, i came up with the marvellous idea to have a group, because every cool kid who has a computer has a secret name and is part of an underground computergang.
keops agreed and begged to take the role of the musician in that group. since he was the coolest kid in our lose gang to hang around with, i agreed. i didn't want the others to be part of the group. they're still trying to play tricks on me because of that.

the best thing during that time was: nobody knew that we have secret identities! it was just like beeing one of the superheroes or villains in a comic.

too bad we left boarding school in 2001 our group ceased to exist. i'm 17 now and i wonder if i'll be a famous scener when i'm 27.

At Mekka 96 there was a release by Kimon Sissel, named after some random 18yo German scener. 10 years later he's a well known scener. Sio keep reaching for the stars, Mr. dlz.

my parents didnt give me enough attention, so i had to seek the company of older gentlemen with a taste for c64 demos.

and there was something with bbs's, crack intros, demos and wurstkoffers aswell, but i try not to think back on those days..

Rubicante: Doesn't matter if you don't have anything to show or any connections, since connections are what you get from a demoparty. Most of demoparties are not so much about compos, but it may seem so to someone who hasn't been at a demoparty.

spent a lot of time with my cousin as a kid who was a scener.. he showed me some demos and introduced me to trackers and in '94 i formed my first group with my friends, which was called unique. :) not the same unique - we actually changed the name quite fast because there were atleast two other uniques around..

I'm more of a fanboy than a real scener...
I guess I saw a cracktro and liked the cute music. Thank god for warez!

back in the 80's i did shitloads of cocaine, and at one of these parties i met a dude called demoman, and he introduced me to the fine arts of the demoscene (and later how to smoke crack)

Panic / FC, endings of '92. I said "i wanna do something like that"... I started tracking then, and a pair of years after I started coding too.

i must admit, even though i'm not here voluntarily, the wurstpuppe is a great inspiration for the time spent in demoscene!

i was on bbses and lamed around alot around '92. downloading mods only, havent heard about any demoscene.

in the spring of '93, a substitute teacher (who was kinda into the demoscene) got me fasttracker. at 12, i started to track.

in '95, i met some older guys in school who had a demogroup. i joined, and went to my first demoparty a few months after that. since that time, i've been completely hooked.
