just out of curiosity: how many sceners live in or around the seattle area? (i don't think vancouver or oregon count)
added on the 2006-02-28 12:41:28 by uncle-x uncle-x
if I don't count mfx members (: 7 off the top of my head.

Since I am INCAPABLE of finding sceners in my back yard, this list consists of only 2 people I knew were there when I was there.

Throw in 3 people I'm going to insist show up as they're interested and should be sceners... a random visitor from abroad or two... and you certainly have enough for a regular pubmeet.
isnt noogz around there?

Geez, Seattle is like a 6 days ride from here. Hell SLC was 3.

Well, I've always wanted to check out the Rockies up that way...

Take 80/90 out 1000 miles til you hit I15, dip into Utah, see the 'Real men don't use Porn' sign (No. I'm NOT kidding. It WAS there.) then head toward Ogden and then out to Pendleton, OR. You'll love the bends on the mountain there, however, do NOT take them at high speed or we'll lose you. Then cut across the northern part of Oregon which is just killer (ok it's straight but I still love it) then up I5 into C attle.

Alternately, a less exciting ride, slightly shorter, is across Montana. You MIGHT get across Montana in 1 day, but I don't think you can, really. And it tends to have at least 1 construction thing. Anyway, the Idaho thing is all right, and then the Gorge area is pretty ok. The eastern part of Washington, however, is pretty straight up crap. But, yeah, either way it's worth it, and I miss taking that trip...

Anyway it's great getting directions for it, the "go 1000 miles then turn left" cracks me up every time. (also get the directions, since I went, I15 was 'improved' for the Olympics, and some of the things I had to go around are not there anymore.... as it was 5 years ago... no 6... the last time I did that.)

This concludes today's "Travel with Truck" episode. Tommorow we will discuss things to do around airports while waiting for the next day's plane, since yours left 3 hours ago.

You mean the Pilgrimage list? :p Cuz the last #trax list email I got was from 2003.. bear in mind, I am a bit out of the loop these days.

Party in Seattle sounds like a great idea! Heck, throw in a democompo and you'll have me there in no time.

About my earlier post: I just recieved an email with some details I didn't know about the Pilgrimage 2005 situation. So, on that point at least, I'll withdraw my criticism of Legalize. Gotta know both sides, it seems...

aha, so we can't criticise pilgrimage but we won't be told why.

Fifth: We've got Nintendo of America, RAD game tools, Microsoft, Real, and a whole bunch of other weirdos.

Suddenly I'm imagining you guys getting a couple Word programmers drunk and having them submit some sort of demo (featuring clippy?) under the "Microsoft" group name...

No, generally anyone who's spent any time in C attle avoids the Microsoft bunch.

We have Real, Amazon, and Cingular covered, tho (:
Keepin' it Real, Yo!

oh, wait. buffering...
