Dudes
i heard BT now have an 056 number on broadband
free calls out!!! 1 national normal rate incoming number

anyway
with the phonecall coming in through the PC
does this mean it is possible for voice recognition and menu systems
and has/will anyone be playing around with this??

or
who might have done software like this if any so far??

thought this might be up someones street and that the scene might like to know about this interesting development

apparently telemate want an 056 number for a free directory menu system!! TOP SECRET! butBT just left them on their own to find any software which might or might not be available????

or is there should this thread be at scene.org?
???

You might want to try Asterisk ( http://www.asterisk.org ), if you can get the calls via SIP or something less stupid than simple streamed audio. It can handle dtmf menus, and shit.
Be prepared if you are not an open-source-wanker, that it is bugware...
