magic: well,
a) what doesn't work?
b) post the log
c) post the settings you used (most importantly, did you use the dshow avi writer? if so, don't. it says "*unstable*" there for a reason)

plastik: yep, crashes in the tunnel scene for me too, but that's even without kkapture running, so i don't see how to fix it.

On my system it only crashes when I kkapture it... or when i run it more than once with different speed settings (laptop)... ;)
Those popping polys are even worse in the Win-version too. I suspect some strange speed- or rounding-related issues...

ryg: kkapture doesn't like http://www.pouet.net/prod.php?which=33721 - I can only get it to start, but nothing appears on screen or in the dumpfile. I've tried all sorts of settings. :) Will get you the logfile later today.

gloom: tick "use fairlight hack", which is actually a hack to make the bass "BASS_DEVICE_LATENCY"-option work (should probably rename it now that i know it). that should fix it.

gloom: great :) finally someone who try to do something decent :)
ryg: hmm, I already tried that. But ok, perhaps I didn't wait long enough that time :)

Nope, just checked, and that didn't do the trick here. I do use BASS_DEVICE_LATENCY, and removing it made kkapture work.

hm, worked just fine here. (just tried it)

hmm, just kkaptured nuoemon at 50.00 fps, but there's a strange thing going on. you can see it the best at the infinite cubes scene, but it's there in the others aswell. often after 2 correct frame, there seems to be one duplicated. it's not 100% duplicated, it's the same scene content as the previous frame, but the bloom filter changed a bit.. i'm not really sure what's going on, but unfortunately this way the playback's not as smooth as it could be...

bartman, that seems to be a general problem with demos that use fmod. i first noticed this with virtually all mfx/kewlers prods, synesthetics prods seem to be affected too. apparently, the timer fmod reports back has very low granularity: seemingly between 40 and 45 updates per second from what i've seen so far, haven't yet determined the exact value.

this is entirely fmod specific and probably only happens with the dsound output device (and by the way also when the demos play in realtime, i got curious after i found this out, and i'm 90% sure it's there though it's hard to be certain without capturing the video using suitable hw which i don't have). not sure whether it happens with fmodex anymore.

in any case, i can't work around this from inside kkapture because it's a fmod bug (ask firelight, maybe?).

well, i just tried to kkapture noumenon again, and with both kkapture 0.06b and 0.07 it now worked with fluid 50fps, no more duplicate frames. i'm not sure why it works now, i ran the demo in windowed mode...
will now try some other demos again that had the same problem...

Traction - Ante Dominum confirmed to work "out of the box".

Any ideas about the missing sound in Death in Vegas?

Kolor - libgov works with default settings.

Tips for running it:
Fullscreen: OFF
Antialiasing: OFF
Textures: PERFECT
then press "Run!", click "OK" on the critical warning message and pray...

oh, and you'll need an Nvidia card >= Geforce 3

Assembly 2004 invitation by Moppi needs kkapturing. Those patterns in the background are soo pretty. However I am not able to kkapture myself (not running windows). Thank you to you + moppi + kkapture + everyone :-)

btw. what happened to the moppi website?

tazadum - tac2 is not working. Nothing is captured with different settings.
If I turn on frameskip I get a video with sound only and all black frames.
I suspect it to be the same problem as with voidspace...

Threestate - Sonnet working with frameskip turned on now. It seems to need that in some parts...

again: some ideas on Death in Vegas?
