Welcome to episode 27 "Bonfire Special: Competitions" with Kiero and H0ffman!

It's getting cold outside - all the more reason to emulate a crackling bonfire and have an intimate chat with two sceners sharing their insights, opinions and anecdotes about that moment your production is shown on the bigscreen, and everything leading up to it.

Do they release for the fun of it, or to win? Do they still get compo jitters? Do they ever feel dissatisfied with a production? Is our voting system fair? Do they namevote? And how does one walk the line between showing off technical skill and entertaining the crowd?

I just finished listening to episode 26 and what a _stellar_ interview it was. Thank you so much!

And with a slight delay due to some heavy-duty editing needs (you'll see what we mean!) we're looking back at 2022.
Lug00ber and me join the hosts and reflect a bit on our first year as producers, share personal thoughts, experiences and laughter in an off-the-rails episode.
And we demonstrate how hard it is to get everyone into a room at once!

So here it is - Episode 28, "An hour-long string of Outtakes and a Year Wrap" with the full team!

A big thank you to all the kind feedback and suggestions, all the guests and experiences we got to make over this past year - we are looking forward to another great year with you!

It's been a while, but here we are again - and just in time for your trip to Revision!

Whether it is to divert expectations, provoke, bend the rules or simply have a good time and be creative: humour, satire and gimmicks are a long-standing tradition in the demoscene.

Episode 29 - Gimmicks and Satire in Demos with jco

But is there more to it than just blatant knee-slappers and cheap audience-pleasing? Does humour free oneself from too many expectations and limitations? Or is it limiting in its own ways?
With the topic so close to his own heart, okkie chats with jco. He has been leaving audiences somewhere between laughing and confused about story-driven productions and characters such as Kevin, "Safety First" and Evilbot, all while also developing impressive tool chains and technologically apt productions.

just to clarify: I'm only lending Evilbot a bad german accent vocoder voice - Evilbot and related demos were conceived by the Revision demo team "back in the days" :)

Was a good episode to listen to on the way back from Revision, thank you :)
Episode 30 - Executable Graphics with yx

They grow up so fast - during our research for this episode, we learnt that the Procedural Graphics Compo just turned 18 years old!

What better time to have the one and only yx join us, to talk about her adventures in sizecoding, her creative process, favourite releases in the category and thoughts about its future and much more!

Let's see if she can enlighten okkie and ziphoid... a bit!

As usual, we are available on all the major platforms - and of course tonight live(-ish. pre-recorded.) on SceneSat!

I really like your podcast episodes. On the other hand I really miss the Zine diskmag. There's no mag left for the PC scene, which is quite sad, at least in my opinion. Same goes for Amiga btw.

Episode 31 - Beyond the Scene: Fanedits with Bobson Dugnutt is out now!

After a long day looking at realtime rendered graphics, most love themselves a good movie. And just as with the former, the latter has its own little community that puts sweat, tears and love into making them juuuuust a little better than what the industry churns out.

We talk to Bobson Dugnutt about the Faneditor community, a lot of Star Wars, and find the first endearing use for Deep Fakes.

Available now on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, Audible etc, etc - and tonight at 9pm CEST on Scenesat!
