The "original" swastika was "skewed" quite litterally, by the nazi's. my guess is that he is a tourist, who found one of his country's traditional symbols and got one for hom and ma back at home, not realising that over here, that skewed version doesn't mean quite the same thing. It would altso properbly explain why the big bald man who sold it to him looked at him like he just fell out of heaven...or....my,fave...he is an asshole and he love the reactions he is getting.
