@skrebbel, well, for using xna the only runtime that is required as an install is the vc2008 distributable runtime, all the others files can be placed under the same demo directory. Vc2008 dlls runtime are loaded through the manifest file which is embedded in the xna runtime and thus not using the same windows standard dll loading. Anyway, i'll try to see if There is a workaround for this last issue.

Maali, it's in fact not necessary to install xna runtime (apart vc2008 runtime issue) as long as you configure correctly your xna project when compiling/linking... But if you use the default settings generated by a visual studio wizard, you'll be strictly linked with xna "strong name assemblies" that indeed requires a proper xna runtime install (unfortunately as i've seen for most xna based demo released on pouet)

havoc: will you be there to guide us at thursday morning 0800 if we arrive?

ok, seems to be possible to load VC2008 assemblies from a local directory (called side-by-side assembly)

thec, dwarf and all other communist tent-dwelling artsy fartsy kumbaya singing hippies:

i don't know for sure we will have people at the location early thursday morning. reason for this is that i still have to check with the owner of the place if we can show up early (they might have another group..). if we're not already there, we will come from our homes, and likely wont arrive until the end of the morning (after picking up a batch of groceries first). if we can stay in eersel, it's no prob if you show up early. will keep you posted, here and on the website :)

Regarding tents: there's a finite amount of beds in the sleeping rooms. -most are reserved for the pre-orders and there's a pretty darn good chance that the handful that are left will be spoken for *real* quick. So unless you enjoy sleeping in main halls a lot, it's not a bad idea to start looking around for that festival tent you threw in the basement :)

(Also, I apparently snore like an orchestra consisting of chainsaws and monster trucks, so I exiled myself to a tent. The danes had better pitch their tents at the other side of the field.)

Dwarf: I'll be on the far right, in a corner. Take the far left corner of the field and you're safe.

In other slightly Outline-related news:

My dinner tonight consisted of various cheap-ass cupnoodle variations, all of which sucked. So we'll probably end up getting the same brand we had last year (Nissin)- not cheap, but at least the taste is good \o/

Although not in a cup : I'm a huge fan of the Yum-Yum series, the yellow in particular.

Absolutely true, the cheaper noodle brands in bags (YumYum, but also Thai Chef and Noodle Delight) are much, much better than those in cups. Downside is that serving bags would mean we have a lot more dishwasing (cupwashing? ;)) on our hands, which cuts straight into boozing and party time for the orgos (eek!). Pondering...
