Somehow I still think he's the bigger troll.
Dibs on the paladin. That's what I want to be. Or the jedi.

Meh, this was a pretty *yaaawn* year nomination-wise...

Since most awards have 6 nominees, why wasn't there room for Large Unified Theory in the Most Original Concept category?

and I totally agree with kusma :)

indeed namevoting ;-) And indeed why not 6 nomineed in each category?

btw I guess most nominees/pricewinners will be @ revision. So perhaps its an idea to use a live stream to norway to collect the prize and say something.. Or record a video in advance to air..

Oh yea... It's a shame, it's a nice cat.

Magic: what a great idea! Wow, I can't believe any of the awards staff people haven't thought of that!

http://www.pouet.net/prod.php?which=54667 is the same concept as "A True Story From The Life of a Lonely Cell" but with better presentation and sound.

thanks to sceneorg staff

staring at the awards list what i thought is that we'll be having a really grown up mobile/handheld/just current gen console development in this and next couple of years, and neither demo (mostly hpc) nomination nor oldschool platform nomination is not where it belongs. correct me if i'm wrong.

I would correct you but I don't understand your point.
added on the 2011-02-16 11:20:55 by farfar farfar
the point is that we probably need an extrar nomination as there are existing platforms with a lot of restrictions but not oldskool ones.

Something like a low-end demo category? For example Amiga/Atari 32bit, GP2X, consoles. Or a console demo category? A GP2X demo is closer to Amiga than PC and it would be nice that it has it's low-end category, though a PS3 demo is more like PC and so it could go to either console/handheld categeroy or the regular demo?

Or maybe people should just do better demos on those "low-end" machines? =)

Striking that there are the same 4-5 demos in EVERY category...

Console/handheld nomination would be rather universal i think - i mean, modern/nextgen consoles are not for homebrew development anyway.

So now, when we can work with them, ps3/360 are pretty outdated and having about 1/4 of computing power comparing to typical PC you want to see latest Fairlight stuff on.

Also Android family/iphones/other handheld devices fit into this nomination nicely.

No idea about PPC Amigas/Falcons/etc, but it doesn't seem like this part of scene is going to be very active anyway.

tft: how is that a fail considering "a true story" was released a few months eariler, and the category is "most original concept"? :)
