At first I thought "oh, north-west france is not THAT far, I drive there regularly for pinball and arcade shows from Belgium" but throwing the village into the googles..

But Holy Crap.. 600km+ that's far away...

It's actually reasonably accessible for us from the UK, Poole/Portsmouth Ferry to Cherbourg, then a train/taxi/bus to Coutances.

Roughly speaking the ferry would be around £70, and £18 for a train to Coutances, both return.

@franky--
of course 600 km is too much for people not deeply involved in the CPC scene.
But this year there will be even a motivated greek with 2 879 km ;) there are no other CPC demo parties in the world :(

Anyway 600km+ will be our distance for Revision ;)

600km isnt far for a demoparty. Just google finland and observe the number of fins at revision ;-)
I was in Amstrad Expo (pre ReSeT) at the same place with Ferry from UK and Train to the place. Great trip!

Now, I MUST find a job before June so that I can visit again. Ok,. I am a CPC addict so I would consider traveling the distance.

ReSeT #8 will begin in exactly 1 month! It's not too late to register on the party website. Everybody interested in the Amstrad CPC is welcome! But if unfortunately you can't visit the party, you still can enter in the competitions (demos, intros, graphics, music) as a remote entry. So whether you plan to come or to participate as a remote entry, don't hesitate to register on ReSeT website!

Extra CPC party feature, food and drinks are included in the price! :)

Which one is the exact resolution, this small 100px wide thumbnail or that huge 786px wide screenshot ? I kinda think none of both, but i am not familiar with Amstrad gfx resolution in general.
added on the 2012-07-03 19:12:14 by CONS CONS
The huge one is correct.
The maximal resolution on Amstrad is about 768x272, without interlace mode.
Most of the graphics use a lower res, so you can downscale x2.
I see my picture has no screenshot on pushnpop, so here's one :

@Pulkomandy: you should contact Grim, he failed to have a correct screenshot of your picture ;)

Yes, rasters and emulators usually don't work well :)
