- demo MS-Dos/gus Serious by Jeskola! Productions
- awesome music by dune (under some jeskola alias), heavily amiga-inspired design by phantom, it all works together nicely for a distinctly oldschool dentro experience.
(this is a dentro, right? I just wanted to use that stupid word one more time ;)) - isokadded on the 2001-06-16 15:33:39
- demo MS-Dos Little Green Men by Kosmic Free Music Foundation [web]
- yeah, definitely a cult classic! it was great fun in 95, I haven't remembered this demo in years but seeing that screenshot caused me to laugh out loud so I guess I'll have to watch it again soon :)

- demo MS-Dos vague space by Carillon & Cyberiad [web]
- I like this actually, although it's disappointingly short. But it's not a masterpiece like Destop's following demo, "codename chinadoll".

- demo MS-Dos paimen by Coma
- the best "classic" coma demo I think. the finnish version has a stronger feeling than the rather clunky english translation...

- demo MS-Dos show by Majic 12
- classic!
rack's pixelling always looked marvellous, this demo in particular was for me really something to drool at :) - isokadded on the 2001-01-07 21:53:05
- demo MS-Dos Super Luxus Package Of Luv by mfx [web]
- one of the best experimental demos around, and in my view this has genuine artistic merit in a way very few other demos do. 2000 wasn't a very good demo year, but this is one of the year's most interesting surprises.

- 64k MS-Dos/gus placebo by Komplex [web]
- i've always loved this little intro. in my mind this represents pure oldschool, not stupid pastel colors and bleepy happy chiptunes :)

- 64k MS-Dos We Go by Complex [web]
- a classic intro showcasing complex's amazing touch for demomaking. everything works together to establish a unique mood, including the nice poem (you can't say that for most intros! why is demo poetry so goddamn awful most of the time, and why do people still keep doing it :))

- demo MS-Dos/gus Dope by Complex [web]
- the 1995 smash hit that introduced effect boxes into the pc scene :)
looking back now, it can be a bit hard to understand why this demo felt so revolutionary back then - after all it's basically a terribly slow-paced object show with some rather bad graphics and a pompous and repetitive tune. but if you compare dope to some of the popular object show demos of the time (like, say, holistic by cascada vr section - a demo that nobody remembers anymore) it's evident that dope has a completely different coherence to it.
it's a question of attitude: dope takes itself very seriously, and everything in it is planned to support that. it doesn't matter that the effects aren't that amazing on their own, when they're presented in such a convincing way.
that's why i think dope is actually a superbly designed demo, contrary to what many people say. there's simply no other explanation for its impact on the pc scene. - isokadded on the 2001-01-02 00:17:22
