Just look to other Simulatioo releases before commenting ;) - isokadded on the 2003-03-18 00:20:17
- demo Windows Bird of Paradise by K-Storm [web]
- Well, I put a "rulez" as a motivation for next one.
Please, remove blurred feedback effects, remove not necessary effects, avoid to use to times the same effect, and improve animations.
Globaly a decent demo, but need a lot of "ironing". - rulezadded on the 2003-03-16 21:29:31
- 64k Windows Demon's dont dream by Surprise!Productions [web]
- Crash on my main PC (athlon XP 1800+, GF4 TI 4200, Windows 2000, 512 megs DDR), but works (very slowly) on my Laptop (XP 1400+, Savage 4 Twister, Windows 2000, 128 megs).
Plain boring. - isokadded on the 2003-03-16 21:25:43
- wild Animation/Video Molotov mainos by mfx [web]
- Don't particularly like porn, but well, respect anyway: showing your dick to the whole scene is not something that everybody (thanks !) would do ;)

- demo Atari ST Froggies over the fence by Overlanders [web] & Legacy & ST Connexion
- For whatever reason NeXT didn't manage to participate to this demo... shame on us :(

- demo Atari ST tec demo by The Marvellous V8
- Well, if this demo was really released in 1990, that's sad. If you look to the "state of the art" of Atari demos in 1990 in the following page:
http://wwwbrauer.in.tum.de/~brandtf/ataridemos.html
you will see that this demo is far from beeing in the top.
The code is not that bad, but the design and graphics are substandard.

- demo Windows Des'Illusion by NeXT [web]
- I have to update my comment.
Now, the two main atari emulators (Steem and Saint) are able to run the Phaleon Demo, and are also STE compatible, so the demo can be watched in emulation (it's one the 4th disk).

- intro Windows Dbug's oldskool by Defence Force [web]
- Jd: I put "intro" because it's a single effect screen. Concerning the "OldSkool" concept, you should know that this prod was made as an entry in a irc #codefr fast compo. And in "fast compo", there is the word "fast". The objective was not to code something for an oldskool pc, but something that taste a little bit like olsdkool things.
And please, do not tell me I don't know I'm talking about, I've been coding this kind of demo on the Atari ST around 1989.
for ... => I know what a size limit is, I actually manage to won a size compo on my Oric machine at the STNICCC 2000 party. Concerning the fastly done, I simply use some boring module, fmod, and all is done in 32 bits graphix because I didn't had time to learn coding x86 code and other advanced code trickery.
Looks like you prefer people that do nothing, than people that actually try to code something. Perhaps that fast coding compo is not a part of demo scene after all. People have to learn something, somewhere, no ?
