• I'll second the "cool for a first-timer"-opinion. in fact, this little piece of code beats some latest efforts by some respected "scene-monsters", like the nice background images. but most of what's going on on the foreground has a general "been there, seen that" feeling about it..
  so, the thumb is there more to keep the guys motivated. 8)

• that's a cool one, especially for a non-accelerated demo.. but at some moments I just couldn't help thinking "wow, this could look totally cool if accelerated". maybe I'm not getting the whole "fuck 3d hardware" idea.. maybe I'm just spoiled by all these fat 3d models and smooth fonts. also, the poetry is kinda weird and, as robotriot had properly put it, dominant. but in general, I had fun watching it, so there you go, a thumb up.

• silky smooth on my poor old pIII/gf3 box, and precalcs roughly at 15-20 seconds too - dunno why you guys complain so much about this thing being sluggish.
  one of my personal favorites indeed. great music, great city, great sunlight.

• the music of this one is quite powerful industrial-techno, that brings up memories of Speedy J and the likes. camera movement is properly synched, and the scenes are full of nicely detailed (maybe even a little *too* detailed) textures.. but the atmosphere is definitely lacking, which is sad, because this demo had obviously a lot of work behind it..
