- The point is that even notoriously sucky software can be bend over to produce awesomeness.

- demotool Windows Xnth Demo v1.08 by Optrix
- (you should have asked an organizer to show it off as an "out of compo" thing. You get the attention for your software and people don't get pissed at "ad-ware")

- demotool Windows Xnth Demo v1.08 by Optrix
- Dear Optrix,
Quote:I tell people that the demo scene is responsible for all the great advancements in digital graphics. I really believe this
You really should not. The demoscene is - for the most part, at least - YEARS behind the cutting edge of the real time graphics development curve. Sometimes, we pride ourselves - somewhat ironically maybe - that stuff we see in motion graphics demos or movies and music videos was "invented" or popular in the scene first, but in 90% of all cases that is more or less wishful thinking. :)
Quote:My intention was to give back, not to insult
It wasn't your fault. The organizers should have declined your entry politely as it is simply not a wild demo in any sense. It is a product demo. Again, not your fault at all. :) - sucksadded on the 2010-04-10 17:09:37
- demo Dreamcast Wobble by CRTC
- This looks like a mediocre mid-00s pc demo, compiled on a fanboi platform.
I'm not familiar with the tools used, so I might be wrong here and it maybe was more work than it looks like, but regardless, it's not something I enjoyed watching either way. - isokadded on the 2010-04-10 12:43:31

- Polished and err.. dapper, but somehow hard to get excited about.

- demo Windows Beacon by Byterapers [web]
- So, demopaja is not dead after all? ;)
I don't really have much of an opinion about the demo, though. Clumsy late 90s/early 00's design, nice cityscapes, odd colours (pink is the new black) etc. Piggy. - isokadded on the 2010-04-09 14:50:55

Gave me a "Replay-feeling", in more ways than one
More like an old traction intro with a spoonful of fairlight's gases/liquid effects. Not as interesting as that sounds though. - isokadded on the 2010-04-09 14:37:08
