- demo Commodore 64 Continuum by Triad [web]
- Lots of ugly colors ;), but other than that: Wow! Awesome prod indeed, lots of great ideas and fantastic code. Tune was ace, too! And I for one don't think it should have been longer; it's perfect that way. (What's it with the C64 scene going for overly long demos anyway?)
Have to watch it again immediately! - rulezadded on the 2014-02-16 16:58:45
- demo Commodore 64 We Are All Connected by Fairlight [web] & Prosonix & Offence [web]
- Wonderful demo! I love, love, love the first side-scrolling part, fantastic design! Lots of other good and original effects too (and only a few not so impressive), very nice graphics and great music. Awesome!
The only complaint would be that during the last third of the demo, some of the parts feel very disconnected, like they were only added because the code was already there so let's just use them as well to make the demo longer.
But apart from that, fantastic work! - rulezadded on the 2014-02-16 11:31:50
- demo invitation Windows MacOSX Intel Break over ~Tokyo Demo Fest 2014 invitation~ [RTX-005] by SystemK [web] & RTX1911 [web]
- Amazing music, and nice visuals! Disconnected scenes, as others already have mentioned, but I really like the overall atmosphere - very pleasant to watch.
Ah, I'd love to go to Japan someday...maybe in a couple of years, if Demofest is still happening then... - rulezadded on the 2014-02-14 20:28:05
- 4k Windows synapse by Firebug & cce
- I like it a lot! Music, visuals, progression - very nice! The only bad thing is that horrible blue then that worm thingy flashes - ugly. Other than that, great!

- 64k Windows luma by Mercury [web]
- Very nice concept, good execution, and I love the music!

- 32k Atari VCS Ataventure by DMA [web]
- The rotating gray boxes and the rotating cube alone are worth the thumb up, and music quality is good, too. I really like how you combined sprites and playfield in some parts. Great stuff, and creative use of the VCS' assets!
I'm no fan of all the lo-res effects, though. If a machine can do effect X only in crappy lo-res, then don't do it at all - but that's only my opinion. Oh, and design-wise that demo comes straight out of 1988, with logo on top, black background all the way through or screaming raster colors... that could definitely be improved upon. ;-)
Anyway, overall a good demo, and it really looks like lots of effort went into it. Cool! - rulezadded on the 2014-01-23 21:16:40
- 4k Atari VCS WireCube VCS by Youth Uprising
- A pure animation is not my definition of "demo" - even more so if it's not precalculated in the demo binary itself (which without RAM is obviously impossible on the VCS). Claiming a "world first" is, if meant seriously, really preposterous.
Too bad though that the planned trackmo around it never got finished... - sucksadded on the 2014-01-13 04:58:10
- demo invitation Windows Megalactic by Schengen Allstars
- Very nice idea and execution, thumb up for that! Somehow I think the concept could have been explored more thoroughly, though. But that's complaining on a high level. :)
I dread the jingle we have to listen to a thousand times over Easter, though. There are some nice options in the soundtrack for it, but also several annoying ones... - rulezadded on the 2013-12-30 17:17:38
- demo Windows The butterfly effect by Andromeda Software Development [web]
- Really beautiful visuals combined with great music, together creating a fantastic atmosphere. I can lose myself in this demo.
My only gripe is that the music gets too cheesy during the butterfly scene. It's the only part of the tune I'd call kitsch, which is a bit sad because I otherwise love it. - rulezadded on the 2013-12-27 16:49:17
- demo Windows House of Spunk by Gammel Opland Af 1891 [web]
- I saw it on the bigscreen and could remember it clearly (positively) after the compo - something I cannot say of some of the other productions that strangely ended up ranking higher in the results. But what's even more depressing is the low number of comments here on Pouet - c'mon, this prod surely does deserve more attention!
I really liked the beginning, up to the robot: Nice, unconventional visuals and effects, especially the shields/balls/particle part, and the music fits the visuals nicely. It's always good to see something different from the usual 3D flyby scenes!
What I didn't like was the change of concept mid-demo, when the robot parts came and it degenerated into a "classic" demo. A bit incoherent, that.
But overall a solid thumb up, and I hope to see more demos from you! - rulezadded on the 2013-12-07 12:28:48
