- demo Linux Windows Island
- Yeah, this is pretty much unfinished. The refraction looks OK but the reflection somehow not; very messed-up normals or something? Ran out of the box on my lowly Intel GPU, though (but not with the greatest framerate).

- I am having a hard time knowing what to say about this prod. But it is hard not to agree with the message, and obviously the technical/artistical side is great, too, so what else can it be.

- 64k Windows glass by Psikorp [web]
- Worthy winner for its time (and spawned a bunch of remixes?), though I remember being pretty bummed that it was never pointed out that it was an accelerated entry, unlike all the other ones in the compo. (The “gl” prefix wasn't enough of a hint for 16-year-old me.)

- Piggie is marked as “is ok”, and that feels appropriate here.

- demo Amiga AGA Perfect Circle by The Black Lotus [web]
- A classic. And yes, the tree is obviously an animation when you see it in a modern capture like that. Perhaps not as obvious on the bigscreen in 2001 :-)

- demo Java Mobile Phone Perkele Plus by Contraz [web] & Excess [web]
- I must admit I never really found this so great. The platform is basically limited to moving sprites around, and it doesn't really manage to work around that to any convincing extent.

- demo Amiga OCS/ECS RULE 30 by Andromeda [web]
- The first kaleidoscope effect is OK. The rest is incredibly meh, especially the music (which sounds like a run-off-the-mill ProTracker mod from the 90s).

- demo Atari Lynx Unknown Worlds by New Generation
- A great example how artwork and direction can lift a demo immensely. Having the same lowpoly 3D meshes rotate around on a black screen would be really boring, but add some animated parallax layers and a story-ish, and it works great. The music doesn't hurt either. Some of the scenes stay for a tiny bit too long, but otherwise great stuff on a fairly uncommon platform (though what Korvkiosken said, of course).

- The Shadertoy is somewhat misleading, because it uses bilinear sampling, which causes the blurriness. If you precalc the filtered versions anyway (e.g. at a half-pixel offset?), you can use a more expensive filter that's not as bad.
