Look at the C64 scene - a 31 year old computer and there's still fresh releases. Sure, there's not much new stuff do discover on that platform but it still manages to impress and amaze you even if the effects are basically the same. The Amiga OCS scene could really use a revival and I don't see why people shouldn't reacquaint themselves with the platform using someting that is within their comfort zone.
Remixes and remakes were prominent even in the years of the releases you name. For example, "Deep - The psilocybin mix" from 1995 is a very popular Amiga demo and it uses more recycled stuff than this prod does. Roots 2.0 by Sanity is another example.
Is it "creative death" to release a funky, good-looking OCS redux demo in 2013 when the last 10 years of the Amiga scene has more or less consisted of the same old C2P 3D 060 stuff (which I mostly enjoy, don't get me wrong) with only new textures and camera angles? Aw, come on... - isokadded on the 2013-04-04 00:20:26

- @tomaes: Bah... flamebait. But I'll bite. :)
The following effects were not in the original:
Glenz vectors
Light sourced bars
"No AGA" bars
Circles
Dots
Spacecut vectors
RGB Balls
7 effects - That is pretty much enough for a demo in its own right... This version runs for about twice as long as the original before the endscroller.
There is new music and new graphics. ALL the other effects are re-coded and IMHO greatly improved. The new transitions added are great. - isokadded on the 2013-04-03 13:59:53

- A small bug in the plasma effect was all I could notice on plain A1200 reverted to nocache+OCS. It really is worth watching on a CRT screen if you've got one - the overscan stuff looks soooo good.

- demo Amiga AGA Massive by Skarla
- Great code, the vocals are kind of un-impressive though, not enough oomph in the delivery. And as much as I love how you can push 3D on a 50 MHz 060, all these modern Amiga demos seem so formulaic and in the end rather boring. But that goes for a lot of other groups rather than just Skarla.
