• javala: It uses the same trick as pretty much all JS prods now, which takes the trick you found one or two steps further. It's called PNG bootstraping,and JSexe is the most efficient tool to date for this is.
  
  las: With all respect to what Mozilla does, Firefox lives in the past regarding threading. So looking forward to Servo. In the meantime try in Opera or Chrome. Agreed, ANGLE and webGL are still in a strange state but it doesn't make this platform invalid or null. About the "binary", I just don't see the point.

  psenough: Thanks for the advice! It's a freaking cool compliment to hear people thought about Elevated while watching ANDES, even if it was never my intention to do a remake, or demake, of Elevated in 1k.

  It was a really nice compo, and I'm glad I managed to pull that out in just 2 weeks worth of short evenings.
  
  maytz: Yes, Himalaya was/is amazing! However it was not the inspiration for ANDES. Neither was Elevated if anyone wonders. I recalled Himalaya, a little late in production and was worried about the similitudes. But upon watching both intros I fell ANDES had enough merits on its own to not scrap the project altogether. Sure it has less features. A lot less actually. However I believe the camera, design and color treatment bring something to the table.
  
  Beside it's been 5 years since Himalaya, and both Himalaya and ANDES use a very different set of technologies. If TBC, or anybody find an offense there. I'm sorry, it was not my intention to rip off HIMALAYA. If anything, the name, ANDES is an homage to Himalaya.
  
  Hope people will appreciate ANDES on its own merits.
