- demo SEGA Master System Chunky Disaster by Darklite [web] & Offence [web]
- I feel like all the recent Darklite demos look very much the same, just on different systems and with slightly different screening patterns :-) But I guess dogma level 0 must gain a thumb; given the stamp, I assume the 3D torus is mostly just streamed from the cartridge…

- These are nice visuals, and nice music, but they feel like they're from completely different places. It feels like there's a tension here between being friendly, simple and stylish—and in-your-face and impressive. So the end result doesn't quite work out for me.

- demo Oric His Masters Rasters by Illi Recentes ImperatoreS
- I guess this is the kind of prod that needs a technical writeup, because all I see is the same effects I've seen a bunch of times and then a barrage of thumbups. (Hoffman's tune is nice, though.)

- demo Linux Windows Hue Bender by Team210 [web]
- Nice rendering, but the animation leaves a bit to be desired (somehow the perspective is a bit odd, stuff intersects, and I'm missing some easing or something). Doesn't really defend its length or its file size; gets rapidly a bit boring.

- Unfortunately, this does not run on my machine and there is no video capture, so I cannot thumb it down. Yet.

- Finally something I like in the compo! The 3D scenes are ambitious but don't always quite work out (I assume this is some kind of point cloud or Gaussian reconstruction from 2D images you already had); they're too coarse and people are probably not the best target for this, since the heads end up looking weird. _But_, you make the rooms come alive through all sorts of effects laid on top, and that works really well for what you're trying to do (even the simple act of quantizing the colors for the oldschool compo slide). And as an invite, it spreads a nice vibe, and all the scenes come together to set a context for the party beyond just a name and a list of compos.
