• Ah, then you may want to use some of the many tools available to dramatically reduce those PNGs, as a suggestion ;)
  
  Have you also thought about hardcoding the chars and trying some colour formula for the gradients? That may help too. I still don't know much about coding but maybe the distortion effect would work the same way as with images.
