- WOW, that sucked!
The music is annoying as hell! ( I love Rock, listen to Metal and Punk on a daily base!) -> I hate Voices in Demo-Soundtracks, this time i cant even call it Voices, the singing is utmost bad!
The Visuals bored the Death out of me, why are you boring me with Triangles, badly colored, badly shaded (hypnoglow didn´t help here, was the only shader-technique that hid the real ugliness of it all!) and arranged on such a slow pace compared to the music?!
How this ended up 1st place must be some case of namevoting! :p - sucksadded on the 2014-03-26 12:59:16
- demo Windows Stochastic Process by Cocoon [web]
- YOU ALL must be SO damn sick of placing 2ND every time! I start to feel sick myself when i see another of your superb demos placed 2nd again!
This time my only advice can be: Stop doing Soundtracks that understate the monstrosity of your rendering-skills! ;) The Sound ofcoz fitted the Demo completely, but misses some Accents, some Freshness, lemme say it straight: get WillBe back already, no matter how! ;)
WillBe: YOU HAVE TO COME BACK! Making a Soundtrack 2-3 times a year for your Friends can´t be that hard! Placing 1ST all the time will even pay you some small amounts of money 2-3 times a year! ;)
I hate how you turned to be the "elude" of the PC-scene!
This time i have to admit, you didnt grab me at all, i only thumb this demo up because i still love your visuals and the code behind it! You are doing fine on these fields for sure! Could be better, but i wouldn´t talk about that here, only personally to you, Guille! ;) (at Revision hopefully!)
Greetings from ex-handled-"c0c00n" to Cocoon! ;) - rulezadded on the 2014-03-26 12:45:39
- 4k Windows 雇用の欺瞞(Falsity of employment) by Tomohiro
- A small tip maybe:
If you have a nice spiral going, dont spoil how it is done by rotating it! ;) (rotating on Z-Axis is kewl, x and y sucks, as it just robs the viewer off his/her illusion! ;)
Applies to all of the other stuff in here aswell! - isokadded on the 2014-03-26 12:30:21
- demo Linux Windows Raspberry Pi Uranus Flowers by The Bad Sectors [web]
- This is different, which is good, of(f)course it is!
My problem with it is that the music aswell as the graphics feel like 10 years ago most of the time, while the newskool-stuff is all in there already!
Did i say all? You missed one Post-Effect that would have made this really good: HypnoGlow! or Bloom, as non-Demosceners call it! ;)
All in all you made a nice Demo there, i guess you had a lot of fun while making it, which must have took some time as well! ;) Too bad about the placement, but as said: Do sth similar again and add some HypnoGlow, you´ll feel how much better this is the moment you apply the "bloom" to this very demo! (to test if i am right about what i am trying to tell you! ;) ) - rulezadded on the 2014-03-26 12:25:43
- demo MS-Dos time zone + 13:00 by Eufrosyne
- not my kind of music, but very fits the demo!
Codewise i like it a lot!
Overall feel is that this deserves the name Demo way more than most of the newskool-stuff! But i am an oldskooler, so this is newskoolish to me already, almost! ;)
i´d call it a classic if i´d havent seen it the first time today, i guess! :) - rulezadded on the 2014-03-26 12:15:02
- 1k Windows Peach GLSL Shader of Japan by Fit [web]
- Japanese crowd-pleaser i guess! ;) nippon sun with nippon-music in 1k!
But you are right, you need to work a bit more on your shader-code-skills to make me happy! ;)
[/coder_comment->always_biased!]
Have a motivational pig to get better in shaderCode! ;)
-> Read the BBS-Threads about Raymarching here on pouet (pouet search, if this doesnt yield anything go to google and search for "pouet raymarching beginners thread", read it all and learn! ;) It´s easier as it feels to you right now! Additionally you should learn your shader-language completely, so you absolutely get what shaders are doing for you! Just learn the syntax and try to get a feel what instruction can help you achieving what! Lots of Tutorials out there, lots to learn, but it will make you happy and make you do even better 1Ks!
Your Sound rocks, so you seem to be a good coder on the c++ - side, shaderCode is way more easy! Just the knowledge about Graphics-Code seems what you are missing, maybe just concentrate on that while googling! :) 3-dimensional-Math is sth that you should learn more about aswell, maybe even before taking up Graphics-Code-Tutorials! - isokadded on the 2014-03-26 12:06:17
- demo Windows distance between the edges by Dead Roman
- Different again! Is this part 2 or 3 of the Trilogy?
I´d have wished for the last part to have actual Cylinders instead of just lines. would have made the effect more phat...when the sine goes -z (towards the camera) this would have helped the scene to stand out 3D-wise! ;) - rulezadded on the 2014-03-26 10:39:03

- cracktro Amiga OCS/ECS Pinball Dreams Playable Preview by The Silents [web]
- hehe, never saw that before!
Just read a Review of Pinball Dreams in german Print-Magazine "ASM" (Aktueller Software Markt) back then, while just at that time having had gathered every Pinball-Game i could get my hands on (mostly per friends + XCopy and TurboNibbler in case of c64, but also via Modem to fill some few gaps!) in a timespan of 3 weeks, i just got hooked on Computer-Pinballs back then!
Reading about such an advanced Pinball-Game, even coming with 4 Tables made me shiver! The same day, after some phoneCalls and a short visit to XCopy the game, which took me like an hour (including the visit and the trips to and back), i was playing it already! I was in instalove and regretted having gathered all them other pinball-games with the effort i made...for nothing...as compared to PD they all sucked and hadn´t been worth the time spent! ;)
Me being a scener back then for some time already only learned like 2 months later about TSL being behind that MasterPiece of Game-History! :/
I eventually got my legal copy a month later, no idea if i would have had bought it without that knowledge tho! I considered before knowing tho! (But then came the Anthrox-Trainer, another superb story, but in Trainer-History! and TrainerTro-History! loved that one aswell!) - rulezadded on the 2014-03-24 13:46:26
