- too short, a bit sterile music, but it fits the visuals and they are good.

- Ofcourse i can. That would make it a focused competition. But youre right, i missed that point about this particular disk. :) Doesnt change my view though. :)

- Ok. a music disc is so much more than just an overall, each track deserves attention. so here goes.
i-Good stuff the musician is playfull and this tune is a perfect starter. Good production etc. not much to put critics on here.
zwerchfell-One of the better techno/tech house tracks i have heard from sceners. Slowly progressing, good sounds, good punch. From a club perspective, it is a perfect "inbetween". a proper techno track.
masterbot- Still running tech stuff. This time the christian vogel way, wich is no bad thing. I think this is the first music disk where i have to look at and compare with commercial producers rather than sceners. Top quality this. A funny track, perfectly groving along with bleeps blops and umphs, a good representive for its genre.
Albert hofmann- playfull this. But i hate the lead. the production follow the line set by the first tracks...wich is bloody good. But i dont like this track, mainly because of the lead.
weekend feeling- hehe this is shit but a really good laugh, and the kind of thing you would play to an audience just to see the reaction. Its Breakbeat with a big B. Im more into a cleaner sound, but no doubt it's well produced.
Zeitmachine-I dont like psytrance at all. And this doesnt flow my boat, so all i can say is wellproduced. a good sound etc.
Protected- Either very fast Berakbeat or sloppy DnB. i dont know. and it doesnt matter. But it's way to hectic for my licking. Its a good idea with the humming, but it deserves a much better execution. And judging from the first tracks on this disc, that is no unreasonable demand from the author. Its little more than atmospheres, humming and a hectic beat....wheres the phat bass!!!!????
Tripstepper- an evil rumble, that would do well with some overpitching so its not just rumble. It's nice to hear dnb from the scene, no doubt this is quality, but its not a track that would make a floor boil. Grooving slovly along, and out into the nevermindedness...
astrosafari..- I love the lead, its disturbing ...no really, i think that is the right word. Again it's a good production, good ideas, and this time its executed to perfection. Well balanced all in all.
believer-ok that was a laugh. reminds me of some sunsurfer stuff, that electrosurfer tune. move on please.
instruction pointer- You dont sing very well mate :) But it's good to hear some vocal stuff, and this thing is as with all the other stuff, well put together. Well balanced between deepness and sharpness.
neurocomic- Again the author shows to be a tech talent. He now holds 2 of the very best tech i have heard from the scene EVER! Slowly progressing, good use of the sound chosen. good punch, good groove. Unlike the other this is only half an "inbetweener" with a metallic or solid lead after 4 mins going for the next 3. this would be an A side. i love it.
sekundaerliteratur- look at "I" no remarks.
last night - quality remix mate. Quite a piece of work, taking an upbeat song and convert it into a moody piece of UK garage. Fekking great!!!!
From a scene perspective this may be an odd music disc, as it contains NO "scene" music. But from my perspective, this is the best music disc released EVER on the scene. It is top club quality, and i know for fact that i would play atleast 4 of the tracks out if they were avaible on 12". Paniq you have skillz, im looking forward to the next one. Or even better, im looking forward to 12" stuff from your hands, because you have what it takes without a doubt. If you release stuff, link me to your label.
Oh yeah and the menu sucks ass btw..how the fcuk did you manage to make it run that slow and eat so much ram?? :(

- Ploppy. obviously you never heard concord dawn - raining blood then.
Gravity- Drill'n'bass arent my thing at all. So obviously this is no exeption. Its grooveless and the only positive thing i can say about it is the deep lead wich is pretty nice and it has some good (though simple)chords. the c64 sounds are always loved too.
4D adagio...ZZZZzzzzzZZZZZzzz! Too boring. No doubt it's a nice set of strings, but the whole tune sounds like a synth demo (you know, the "demo" button on a lot of digital synths) no progression, wich is not nessecerily a bad thing, but here it makes the 4 mins unbearable.
Ignifera clamosus - doesnt work, because its to sloppy. a sharper guitar riff and sharper amens and another lead sound may make a difference. The lead is out of key, and it doesnt give it a spook effect, its just annoying.
when birds... - Some really cool ideas, but still youre average demotune. And the piano chords are most. def the wrong ones for the rest of the tune. They sound like they are there in lack of better, instead of being an element the tune couldnt have been without.
A rivers life- Uber cool. atmospheric. well made. Maybe the rev is a bit overused. and what is it about pianos? The melody itself is good to the track, but the piano sound itself is crap. The piano is the one element you could easily remove from the tune without loosing anything. Maybe use another sound instead.
Spirits of...- Its not at all my thing, it sounds like mediocre game music. Sure its pretty and all but it's just , the sounds arent remotely close to classical or ambient.
Water valve - very nice demotune. some good sounds and the usual clicking, bleeping and chords. It's no worse than other demo music in it's genre and its no better. I could see a good demo wrapped around this (maybe there is?)
To the worlds end - more game music. the flute is beutyfull, and so is the strings (though classics)
life's void - End of the game. its pretty bad, im sorry but the guitar ploinks are unbearable.
khamsin - fairly good. I think it needs more bass, but good atmospherics and sounds with an ethnic touch. The vocal is not very good and the tune could easily have been without. you found the vocal and just wanted to use it at any cost, right? but its crap. :)
dream of atlantis - a lot of keys out of tune in here, but it sound like it was intentional and still has a lot of beuty in it.
who has seen the wind- eurodance stuff. No worse than the stuff they play in the clubs or radio. The sound production isnt tight enough to make it there i reckon, but a fair try. The vocal production is horrible though. I can teven tell if the singer has talent or not, but the production is reallyreally bad.
A dancing flame- has elements that reminds me of dizzy's tunes and thats no bad thing. A good grooving tune, thats progressing nowhere, but it doesnt matter because youre nodding you head away to it. If i was to moan about something it would be the overused rhodes, but i still love those.
My time, my cry - Pretty good song in a genre i think virgill represents the very nature off. Its not my thing as such but i still appreciate this for what it is and cant find any real flaws in it at all.
heborian theme - The first attempt at ambient music on this disc that actually works. It is beutyfull at places, to the point where the small hairs rise on my arms. Theres a lot of playing about with the sounds wich is good. This tune is its own in a crowded genre, and even though it uses the same sounds as the other tunes, it still manage to stand out. well done.
All in all ill say this disk gets too far around. Next time concentrate on realeasing E.P's round a certain genre rather than an unfocused behemoth like this one. It goes everywhere but doesnt master anything. Plus the quality is too variable. Be more self critical before pushing a 73 meg music disk.
My 50 cents
