- WELL YOU SHOULD HAVE. :D
nah, but seriously, I wouldn't mind demos of this style popping up more often. :) - isokadded on the 2012-02-07 21:35:40

- Haven't tried yet but I highly doubt that's the issue. Sounds more just like lack of attention to detail in the melodies.

Hey, you stole my idea!
Quote:I'd love to see these :)I have grander ideas :)
Quote:Already coding for it on another system :PA bit more content and it could've been a nice contribution to the oldskool 4k compo at Revision :)
Quote:Yep, it is.is it really just an anim? prerendered via this exe i hope atleast ;)
Wasn't an easy-way-out, though; the original plan was bresenham with rotation tables etc, but 128 bytes isn't enough to store music replayer data, stack space, and a framebuffer. There were corners that could be cut for something like that I suppose but I'm quite convinced it'd be impossible to maintain the size of the frame here. Fun fact: The original was actually 32 frames split across two banks where the replayer routine was actually stored in RAM so it didn't need to be stored in each ROM bank. Also left plenty of room for other effects. But, as stated in the readme, I really don't give a shit :) I started on the road to a big trackmo style thing but really got bored of the system. - isokadded on the 2012-02-07 10:13:25

- Put together really nicely and I like the design a ton :) But I have major problems with the soundtrack. The instrument design was pretty decent and I actually liked the style but there was waaaaay too much dissonance and I feel like the composer was either tonedeaf or couldn't hear what the baseline was doing half the time.

- I'd like to stand corrected on my previous comment a few years back; this synth RULES. Fantastic work; I recommend this every time to people starting 4k coding :)

- Had some really really weird framerate jumps, and the content wasn't amazing, but there was some REALLY nice rendering on some scenes. Bokeh is cool too :) The music bugs me though; was like a cheap mix of electro house and 90's psytrance.. but I guess it fit well enough :)
