- content is sound, sync is good, nice looking shader work.. even good camera work for the car scene. but yeh needs some purpose.

- The overall look was cool but the theme.. too many scenes full of instanced geometry which just made it too random.

- Music is great and the last couple of minutes is absolutely awesome just for depth and spot on sync, it really gave it a sense of surprise to every chapter in the story.

- demo Windows Happiness is Around the Bend by Andromeda Software Development [web]
- oh btw.. couldnt watch it on my ATI Radeon 5670 as the shadow buffer and/or ssao were messed up on the screen (blocky artifacts similar to very low res shadow buffer or bias issues..).

- Right, ive just got around to watching it since getting back and I really like it, the music isnt really to my personal taste, it only really comes into its own at the end of the demo I think and the emotional impact drive home.. all in all though its a well acomplished piece. I really liked the use of animation/skinned stuff this time making everything feel more alive and dynamic, the morphing was cool but I was looking for more umpf from that scene or just some sort of link/transitional reasoning for it, really cool though.

- demo Windows Ceasefire (all falls down..) by Carillon & Cyberiad [web] & Fairlight [web]
- This felt very well packaged with both technical skillz and style but without any need for an agressive direction which is helped by the soundtrack. This sort of signature is a clear winner in my eyes. If anyone did not see the presentation Smash gave on Saturday at Assembly which included the tech involved then I would definately recommend you to watch it. you will learn a lot or even if you arent technically minded and you will appreciate the recent flt releases even more from the sheer volume of processes / passes these effects / scenes take.
