- 64k MS-Dos/gus Azoic by Chrysalis [web]
- Didn't realize this was 64k while I was watching! Really nice late-DOS-era intro with an *awesome* 3D engine for the time.

- demo C16/116/plus4 rocket science by Bauknecht [web] & The Electronic Knights
- I am seriously impressed with this. Wow. Amazing artwork, tight code, and some really nice design to put it all together. Great music considering the chip you were working with (but a SID track with some more bass would have been killer!)
To be honest, I downloaded this for the logo in the screenshot - which I thought looked pretty damn cool. Then it *scrolled*... - rulezadded on the 2014-08-10 08:28:27
- demo Amiga OCS/ECS Unusual Suspects by Mandarine [web] & Mankind [web]
- I *love* the soundtrack. Is the mod available anywhere?
Some of the mugshots & descriptions made me laugh out loud. Good one! - rulezadded on the 2014-08-10 03:13:56
- demotool BeOS Linux Windows Wild Amiga PPC/RTG MacOSX PPC Playstation Portable FreeBSD MacOSX Intel ProTrekkr v2.8.3 PRE 5 by Neural [web]
- I would kill for an update of this that fixes the sound on OSX 10.8+ . Shame development has apparently stopped.

- demo Windows Jitter by Division
- I like this one! Nice acid tune, great visuals, and some really cool scenes. It all worked pretty well together. My only complaint is the snare - there was a bit *too much* of it for the sound it has, you really start to notice by the end of the demo. But that is hardly a show stopper.

- demo MS-Dos Jabberwocky by PlayPsyCo [web]
- You guys have *no* idea what I had to go through to get screenshots from this one.
It supports *exactly one* VESA video mode, and if your VGA card doesn't have it, won't run. I replaced my card. Needs 2MB of VRAM. Needs *long file names* ... under pure DOS. Soundblaster code doesn't support IRQ7. Half the screen grabber progs I tried didn't work or only got corrupted shots. DosBox support? Hah!
To top it off, I don't even like the demo much... Has some ok effects, "oh god!"-worthy coder colours, REALLY questionable design and was well dated in 2001. Protip: run with -n (no music.) Your ears will thank you. - sucksadded on the 2014-08-08 13:52:44
- 1k MacOSX Intel Superstructure by The Digital Artists [web]
- Nice one! Way to set the mood in 1k & great visuals! Gives a real sense of exploring something abandoned... and alien.
Works fine on 10.8.4 + Intel GPU BTW (framerate isn't great but it runs.) - rulezadded on the 2014-08-03 02:18:05
- demo MS-Dos Digital Dreams by Divine
- Wow, I never thought I would see this one again!
I must have found a copy on a bbs "back in the day" - but long ago I only had a couple hundred MB to play with and had to purge my demo collection to make space - this was one that didn't make the cut. But I remembered it and have been trying to figure out what it was called for some time...
Love the fact that the two guys (kids at the time) who made it included their mugshots. Digital cameras were expensive technology then! Wonder what they're doing now?
Yeah, it's *really* cheesy and the ripped music (mod.metalsynth) & gfx (from Second Reality among others) are pretty amatuerish, but it really has some oldschool charm. It runs fine on my machine now except way too fast, there is no vsync or anything like that so the whole demo is only like 30 sec. long. But all the parts work!
Phoenix, I believe you've just dug up one of the last ones standing in my "I used to have this demo, now what was it?!" area of my brain. Thanks! - rulezadded on the 2014-07-28 12:29:08
- demo Amiga OCS/ECS Emperor of the North Pole by Spaceballs [web]
- Tracker + 303. My kind of tune. :) Awesome demo, *love* the textured shapes about 1 minute in. Nice one guys!

- demo Windows XAOC by Bon^2 [web]
- What a great demo! Perfect use of the soundtrack & great video sync. Most parts don't even look like Werkkzeug at all. Nice job!
