- @hfr: In DOS 256 Colour modes, the palette is just 6 Bit in range for each R,G and B, so you'll lose a lot of possible colours, which would've looked much worse. And also I'll lose a lot of precision and colours when going from float to colour in another way here, too. Plotting out individual bytes, I didn't try, but should cause performance issues compared to STOSD as writing to screen can be a bottleneck in DOS.
