- My growing issue with Conspiracy is that I get the impression that all their demos are made from the same building blocks. I can´t see anything new in this one either, but it is surely beautiful in my eyes. The green-to-red gradient is a simple and powerful designeffect. Put together with the sync and the cool text-effect, and it becomes quite attractive.

- I have to admit I actually cheered and pointed to the screen when the smokebox appeared. Might have been the beer, but I think not. The code is advanced and the artwork is top stuff.

- fiver2: yes, that's the one. It's good that his article is accompanied with a sample of his own abilities, don't you think?

- Zplex: sensationalism, intrigues and lies. However, he had the ability to find stories people liked to read. Combined, you got RAW.

- +: I guess this concept has been used a million times before. It's not exactly groundbraking.

- BiTL, lemmus: I am assuming that you are talking about the packed size. If you consider the mp3 and d3dx9_28.dll, it zips down to 3.8 megs. If that was all, I somehow suspect you still would complain about the size. I could have used chip music and I could have skipped the dll (like so many 4k-makers do). I really think it is unacceptable to skip the dll (at least for an unrestricted prod like this), and Virigill's music is the best feature of this intro in my opinion.
What is really the problem with 5 megs for a prod like this? Download time too long? You actually want some precalcing before the intro starts? Is it some oldschool fancy you still hang on to, or did you confuse this intro with a 4k?
I'm not arguing that it's not boring, that's something you entirely decide on your own. - isokadded on the 2007-08-07 14:51:28

- BiTL: Is it the size of the unpacked or the packed folder you are worried about? I use textures in dds-format which unzips to be very big indeed. The idea is that the textures load faster when you don't have to unpack them every time you start the intro.
If you have a small harddrive, I can make a special version for you. If you can spare Virgill's music, you can save another 50% off the zip'ed size. - isokadded on the 2007-08-06 09:15:28
