• good point on the 1nop accuracy of the 'main' wave VS 3nop accuracy per layer.

• I know and I realize doing (more) fixed point calculation would eat quite a few precious nops.
  
  But one can clearly see on the screenshot some glitches due to adding several ( not so precise ) cos/sin tables.
  
  I'm more playing the devil's advocate here because I can only think of one as/more impressive plasma ... alas I can't remember the name of screen. It featured some so called x,y and z distortions but only had pure black to red/green/blue gradients mixed together.
